Anyone here use SEMRush? On the fence about this one...

So I'm thinking about getting SEMRush more to see maybe what keywords I may be missing for my own site that I didn't know I was ranking for, but other than that I am not sure what else its good for.

I mean I'm not really sure what the importance would be of knowing what my competitors rank well for? I mean are we supposed to like hijack their keywords and try to rank for them ourselves?

Curious to hear what you SEMRush users as to what you use it for. Thanks.

Spyfu is a better site then SEMRush, IMO. I can't post the link, but they have some sample reports for SEO which are pretty cool, you can get on their live chat and jsut ask them for a sample Recon report, and they'll give you the link. And their keyword smart search and kombat are both completely awesome tools for SEM.

I don't know if they have much use in the blackhat world, but they are good, and you can get a pretty good idea of everything they do without purchasing anything.

SEMRush is good for spying organic keywords. You can use it to start ppc campaigns. If you want to track your site you can use analytics.

I feel like tools like SEMRush and SpyFu are more for PPC campaigns and not necessarily SEO purposes. I mean I use things like the Adwords Keyword tool, Market Samurai etc. to pick keywords and analyze competition when picking keywords to target. Since I don't really do PPC I am not sure really if there are any benefits to me for these services.

Curious to see if anyone else who doesn't do PPC use these for other things.
