Anyone here use Artisteer?

It seems like a really handy and quick way to get micro-niche sites up running. I didnt get a chance to try it out myself yet, but was wondering if the coding is clean and how good is it, in terms of on-page SEO?

i am using artisteer, quite simple to use but not really seo compliant.

I use artisteer on hundreds of sites. It is great for a number of reasons. If you're using Adsense, it gives Google a sense that you actually care about each of your sites if they have different templates. If you're doing SEO hosting, its a method to make sites not appear as though they're related to each other. As far as being seo compliant, no clue what you mean there it does just fine (albeit I stick all-in-one SEO on it and a routine of noindexing categories, tags, etc).

Using tools like dreamweaver can be be a big nightmare if you any code though

It's sticks in loads of crap code that weaver can't handle at all

Some versions of Artisteer have a problem with the Title tags being H2 tags instead of H1's. Not sure if they fixed this in newer versions. But there are some hacks. Minor bloat in the resulting code, but nothing to worry about. Def like the fact that you can make the templates VERY "nichey" looking and targeted almost like I used to do with XsitePro.

In terms of SEO compliant, i was simply referring to H1 tag on Title, H2 tag on sub titles, permalinks etc.

I was testing it out a few hours ago, after saving it to my desktop and tried opening with dreamweaver (to view the codes), i cant seem to find any h1 tag in there.

Am I missing something here? Thanks

It's great for MNS and adsense sites, I use it all the time.

What are some alternative script/software (like artisteer) that can help build micro-niche sites quickly and easily without footprints?

I was thinking about 'wp-twinbuddy' (or somewhat), to clone developed WP sites, but i am afraid that will leave footprint.
