Anyone here tried KnownSRV hosting ?

Hi I'm currently on hostwinds and I'm getting downtime on my VPS every 2 days that last for about 6 hours. I was planning to move my website to offshore host company called knownsrv I've done a little research on google and it seems I can't find any negative reviews. I want to see your review guys about this host before I move my site. Thanks

My current plan on hostwinds :

Premium VPS Hosting
- 1x CPU core
- 1 GB Ram
- 100 MBPS Port Speed
- Unlimited Bandwith

the plan I'm planning to choose

- 2x CPU Core
- 2 GB Ram
- 1 GBPS Port Speed
- Unlimited Bandwith

$29.95


BTW my daily visitors is around 600-700 daily

I have no idea about the host, however I find DigitalOcean a really good host and they have extremely fast ticket support!

unfortunately I want to move my host to be offshore and digitalocean is not offshore.
 
I have tried Knownsrv and currently i have 4-5 websites there, they are good, not as good as Hostwinds ofc.No downtime for me ever.Support Tickets are also not as fast as Hostwinds but they are answered fast.For some dollars less the deal isnt bad.

Anyways if you looking for off-shore hosting other than Hostwinds its good.
 
I also have a few websites at KnownSRV for some months now without any downtimes. I also have 2 shared accounts at Altushost too which is slightly more expensive and has a bit better/faster support and are bigger hosting than KnownSRV.

I'm actually measuring their downtime with uptimerobot.com and here are the stats:

Altushost #1: 99.41%
Altushost #2: 99.8%
KnownSRV: 99.6%

So as you can see Altushost has some bad and some really good servers. If you end up on a crappy one you can ask them to transfer you. KnownSRV on the other hand I think have only a few servers since they are a bit smaller than Altushost. Both are offshore. And of course there is Shinjiru which are biggest of them all, more professional and slightly more exepnsive offshore, and you may have a real good time with them or REALLY BAD experience like I did. :) Then on the other hand I was hosting in Singapore and hence why I had bad downtimes etc.. Just tried their Netherlands server for a few months and it was all well with it so I won't throw away Shinjiru completely, they had excellent support btw.

Basically if you're for a real cheap host go with KnownSRV, they are ok.


EDIT: Just to clarify my experience is only from shared accounts. I haven't bought VPS from any of these companies so I can't say anything about VPS. I have a friend who has dedicated at altushost though and he is satisfied with it.

You will be able to find more reviews by real users on hostjury, serchen, reviewcentre or findmyhost.
 
I used KnownSRV a while back when I had porn. They were really good. Extremely helpful with any problems and they replied to tickets fast. I am hosting one website on a server now and its going great. They throw DMCA claims in the bin and piss on them before wiping their ass with them. It sounds gross but who am I to question another man's toilet habits?
 
Haven't used KnownSRV for a few years but they have always been reliable and I've never experienced any hardware/network issues. Don't expect 1 minute responses to support tickets or anything though :D
 
never buy a vps from them ever.
load time: 40 sec's for homepage.
support: awful
Be careful, this kruno is a lier who want to steal your money.

As for me I'd recommend you to use a VPS deal from time-tested companies, I mean virtono.com and winnervps.com.
Their prices are competitive and servers work with no outages. Support is active and helpful for 24 hours.
