I re-watched yesterday movie called Limitless, for people do not know the movie this is the synopsis:
With the help of a mysterious pill that enables the user to access one hundred percent of his brain abilities, a struggling writer becomes a financial wizard, but it also puts him in a new world with lots of dangers.

And after i searched in google if this pill existed in real life i found this pill called modafinil this pill can boost memory, alertness and number ability, and is thought to increase dopamine levels in the synapses between brain cells.

Anyone here Tried it before?

In college, I took a nasal spray called VASOPRESIN that was supposed to boost blood flow to the brain. Interestingly enough, I rocked an A in the course I used that spray for (THE HISTORY OF TECHNOLOGY)

In grad school, a friend got me to pop GINGKO BILOBA capsules for "Extra Brainpower" - sad to say, my grades were mixed. I still graduated in the top third of my class but I was hoping for top 10%.

Why do you think this is needed or will help? Modafinil keeps you awake longer is all, its used for narcolepsy patients and yes people use it to study longer, like adderal it keeps them awake but you dont get high.

Real brain boosting supps are called nootropics but are usually a waste for many people. Go read a book and learn how to meditate etc and manage your time properly this will help heaps and bounds over taking any pill.

For anyone browsing, look up Intrnasal insulin (SNIFF Study) and Semax/Selank/Noopept people seem to like those in general
 
I have never and will never use any of this. Well, at least until I get sick or get really, really old so I have to.

But while I'm healthy, I don't believe in anything. It's dangerous as well. That includes all the things you can sniff etc.
 
Never used anything, never needed such things because I always had high grades, except when I started to not care about school anymore.

Limitless is one of my favourite films.

I literally have 200 modafinil sat in my bedroom. Modaf is great. The good sun pharma stuff too!
 
Tried some SuperDuperBrainXXL nootropics from Amazon a few years back, unsurprisingly didn't notice a thing. I'm quite sceptic that anything you can buy without a prescription would work.

I'm on Modafinil right now. It's effects on focus and motivation are profound, it also improves my mood and gives me more mental energy. I can get more then twice as much work done in a day and I feel much better when I'm on it.

The main problem with it is it's long duration; I am certain that it is reducing my quality of sleep thus I no longer take it daily. The long term effects of poor sleep are pretty well studied and clearly undesirable.

It's not like the pill from the 'Limitless' movie. For me personally, it's more like an advanced version of caffeine with slightly better effects across the board, much longer duration (6-8 hours instead of 2-3), less tolerance issues.

It's worth noting that there are more side effects then caffeine, and the long term effects are not well studied at all so while it has been hugely beneficial for myself, I can't say I would recommend it to anyone else unless they needed something to treat a serious condition (such as adhd) that they could not successfully treat using other methods (diet, exercise, meditation, therapy, etc.).
 
Out of curiosity: do you get your modafinil second-hand or can it be prescribed for something less major than narcolepsy too?

I don’t think so.

I eat this pills many times last few years.

For the first few days it gave me euphoria & focus.
Till it started gave me allergy/rash all over my skin, panic attack, insomnia for 3 days, I stopped taking it.

I have 4 strip x 10, and I just trow it away.
 
You could try more natural things like increased oxygen intake through plants paired with, lions mane, coffee and nicotine. Google it ;)
 
Meditation
Exercise
Cold showers
Mono food meals for an extra boost
 
I seriously doubt Modafinil will even be 1% of what the pill in Limitless was.

Obviously haha, that's a media productive. Its just a pill that makes you more alert, its what you do with that alertness that defines it. ;)
 
What happened to the good ol days when proper hydration was shown as enough to keep you alert and focused?

hydration was never good enough. People have always strived towards chemical perfection.
 
I think it works but it would leave negative effects to your brain. Try some nootropic supplements instead of taking drugs
