Hey guys,
Is there anyone here still banking on micro niches since the Google updates?
If so, could you share your experience? Are you having trouble ranking? Tips? How much you make per site/total? How many sites you run and how simple or complicated you keep each website?

I have a few but they don't make much on adsense. I was thinking potentially getting 50 or more up and running and trying to bank, I mean, potentially, if they all made $1 a day, it wouldn't be bad.

about $100/month form some adsense micro sites.

now a simple wordpress sites not work much good.

but web2.0 and somtime interlinking helps to maintain ranks.

Nice, good job. How many micro sites do you run or currently have?

Why not just take all the content from the micro niche sites you want to make, and combine it all onto 1-5 sites?

I used to have around 50 of these, but the effort to maintain them was not worth the payout. I just grouped them up by niche, and put all the content together into a couple of sites. They rank easier now, they're easier to maintain, they make more money, and they're less volatile.

Nowadays, there's really not much benefit (if at all) of having your articles spread out over 50 sites vs spreading them out over 1-5 sites.

+1 , it's hard to maintain them and sometimes they get easily outranked by authority sites.

Still worth the upfront effort here, plus they are a good testing ground. How else can you see what works and what is a waste of time? Just wondering.

Complete newbie and new to SEO and BlackHat, starting with Micro niches and hopefully its a good start. I see people up scaling it but problem like some said already is maintaining the websites. Oh well ill start a journey thread soon to see how it goes.

I have a bunch of micro-niche game download sites. I am monetizing with CPA. I am making decent money, nothing too bad. If you are doing fake downloads, I would not put them all on an authority site. Keep them separate.

I made a mistake by buying 10+ micro sites from one of the seller. Those theoretical high CPC, low comp, and testimonials tricked me.

Due to him providing hundreds of sites at a cheap rate, he's churning out keywords that has not much value (wiki type). And it was only 2 articles, if i am back in pre-penguin or whatever days, i would have banked.

Now, i personally need to add articles to at least 10 before i see any serp movement, but the topic is forever stuck so it's hard to expand.

Like what @crazedspyker said, it's better to consolidate it into macro niche. It's much easier to handle that way.

Add:
But there's a way to monetize thin content with CPA like what @WoozyBluff did. Just that i haven't test how to get traffic using these.
