Anyone here made money on themeforest?

Is there anyone here that actually created website designs that are up on themeforest? Is it a good way to make money in your opinion, if you have the skills?

It really is a great way to make money on themeforest if you are creative and skilled. My friend makes some good money on envato marketplace. I also tried to submit my PSD design, but they didn't accept .

I saw this one theme that came out a year ago. It now has 6000 purchases. It sells for $50 +/- per copy.

Now multiply $50 by 6000. I don't think that's a bad annual income.

Of course there's money to be made dude, if you have the skills, why not go for it?

If you want to sell themes on ThemeForest, your design and coding skills need to be at top level.
Beside this, in every theme you need to invest $500 for few codecanyon plugins like visual composer, slider revolution, uber menu etc, plus images in order to be equal to other theme authors. Approval process is long, and it will surely take few revisions before your theme get's approved, and it can be very hard and demoralising when you need to change code and design on 20+ psd files.

Like you probably know, comission for non exclusive authors is 33%, and for exclusive between 50 and 70%.
