We are a country from middle east Europe with one of the best internets of the planet, most of the IT giants are here around biggest cities and we lead one of the most profitable small and big companies globally as Bit Defender.
BUT, if you decide to open a company in Romania and run it online, give up. We are useless and the bureaucracy is fucked up, loads of papers, nothing online to be filled, useless taxes and so on, the same as politics, we have lovely places to visit but hard to arrive there as the roads are shit, it`s a paradox here for us.
So yes, this is Romania in 2 sentences.
Overall as a Romanian citizen which been in many countries, I would give Romania a 5/10.

If I was European, I'd rather deal with some of the bs that Romania has than the depressing tax situation in most other EU member states. For a self employed person earning just 100,000 Euro per year it can add up to 2-3 million in extra savings if it was invested over a career.
