You can get the currency converter on google. just put in USD to BTC.
In the summer it was like 550$ = 1BTC now it is above 900$ per a BTC

Unfortunately these are spreading like a wildfire.
OP : One way to make BTC is to mine some other altnernative coin that is easy to mine, then trade it for BTC in some exchange.

This is what i was considering , mining getting new money and buy bitcoin , read a method where you mine for new currency free ,and convert to bitcoins , does that sound about right?
I no it takes a server and work but sounds visible ...
What i understand you need powerfull vps loads of proxies and a bot of the currency mining for....(( only guessing

Honestly coin mining is slowly dying, you may very well struggle to pay for your vps.
Most miners use compromised machines and botnets.
