Tried to rank a keyword i got from keywordrevealer.com. According to the site, it's low comp. but i've sent a few pr posts to my parasite with no movement so far. Is it not accurate? I used it for a local seach term.

I've used keyword revealer for months - it's a great tool.

If, however, you want a single metric for 'difficult' or 'easy', you won't find it anywhere. It's just not that simple. You need to analyze your competitors and see what they're doing, and the types of links they have.

Right.. Back to the drawing board then. Thanks, tony_d

It's best not to rely on just 1 kw tool. I use MS and GKWP and also keywordrevealer at times.

Keyword tools are great to get an idea on various terms from, however, you will have to carry out further manual checks before going for a keyword. Moreover, you also need to allow time for your aspired rankings.

Yes, this is good tool to use... but i always prefer to use Google Adwords because i always try to grab traffic from this search engine.

i took your advice, and sure enough, the sites in top 10 have homepage backlinks from authority sites. Looks like i need to fire up some major firepower.

determining competition level is an art in itself, learning it as i go.
