Anyone have experience with DJ YT channels

A friend of mine is a bedroom DJ and made many mixes in the past. I was wondering if it would make sense to get him to upload all of his mixes to YT and to get channel monetized. I think he should be able to have 20+ hours of existing content and can add new content.

Is there potential for this kind of channel?

Would also love to hear experts' thoughts on this. In my case I'm looking to upload videos of myself mixing retro (70s/80s/90s) music. I'm thinking Youtube or any other video upload sites where this gig has potential to generate income.
