Anyone have experience promoting a facebook application?

If anyone has experience promoting a facebook application I'd love to chat or get some help. Has anyone promoted a facebook application?

I am wondering about the "invite friends" tab in an application where you can invite a lot of friends.
Is there a limit to how many friends you can invite to join your application?
