Anyone have experience growing large personal Instagram accounts?

I have an aged personal account and I want to grow it. I have followliker, and am experienced with it. However, I want to know, what hashtags do you guys think works the best?

I am a dude, who happens to be kind of attractive (at leas that's what I hear). I have like 2k followers right now, but they seem to be dead, I get like 100-300 likes tops. Used to get like 600-1k.

What did you guys do to grow your personal IGs? I'm used to growing niche accounts, but not really personals. I've recently restarted my fitness campaign, so I could turn it into like my personal fitness account and see what happens, but tbh it's really gonna be a lifestyle account. Everything I do will be on there. What hashtags have you had success with?

I got a personal account at the moment that I am growing...although I am around 2k right now!
I've been playing around with FL to see what settings work and what don't -- still not a pro

I learned that targeting users who happen to post similar pictures to you work best...but it all comes down to your photography!

use hashtags related to your personal page, just like you would for any other niche. Your personal page has to have a specific theme, it cant just be a bunch of random pics. Well it can but it will be very difficult to grow

Yes. I had a personal acc with ~130k back in the day, sold it for $1000 sadly.

I feel stupid everyday whenever i think about that i sold an account of MYSELF with 130,000 followers when i could've kept going and earned huge money.

I manage a few peoples private Instagram account, have 1 client that I've helped build to the 40K mark. He wants me targeting business related stuff so i get him liking hashtags such as business forex etc (stuff like that).

Its all about what you want your account to focused around, its much harder growing a personal account because you need to connect with an audience. Shoot me a PM if you need help, or skype me! Good Luck

Keeping a set theme is what will work best. Think about things from the user perspective. You're more likely to follow someone whose page reflects x and you like x rather than someone elses page who is afjdoodkdie and you only liked x haha

You sold a PERSONAL account @ 130k for $1k? I sold a ~280k travel account for a little more than 40x that a couple months ago...

Travel is basically a luxury subniche. Luxury subniches: homes, jets, yachts, cars, wear, watches, travel/vacations, expensive food, etc. are worth anywhere from 5x to 100x more than normal niches over 100K followers. I followed this guy on a different forum who actually sold a homes account w/ 190K for 5 figures too. So 40K could quite possibly be real. If you find the right buyer, anything can happen. I sold an altcoin/btc investment twitter account w 900+ followers for $2,400. IG is super overpriced with 6 figure follower accounts and especially 7 figure ones but that's a good thing for us owners.

Yes but this was back in the day when you could like 1 picture every second without problems and follow unlimited amounts of people.

I remember being stunned seeing @opticalillusionss having 700K followers, he was the biggest non-celebrity profile by FAR back then.

Very real bro. I would've kept it if I wasn't in such a pinch. I needed cash quick as I needed to pay for school (who was hounding my ass) and my car recently broke down. And it wasn't only 40k... think higher

Use hashtags that are related to your content.
Think of the audience that you are targeting and that will potentionally follow you
- what hashtags could they search for? - what does your content entail? - what hasthags are being used often?

Also there are tons of sites revealing and showing the most popular hashtags.
You just have to search and think! Good luck on your journey OP!
