According to Google's document, https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/sitemaps/build-sitemap, the multi-domains sitemaps can be submitted by cross submitting.
However, when I tried to submit sitemaps by using the way mentioned in above Google document, following errors come:
Error 1: Couldn't Fetch in sitemap index file:
This is the most weird error, I have 10 domains, all done same way of cross-submission: include all sitemap files in sitemap index file, taking 3 domains as example:
Main domain: siteA.com
Branch domain 1: siteA1.com
Branch domain 2: siteA2.com
i thought the cross-submissions were all failed and the method does not work until I notice the highlighted record: there is 1 success cross submission.
So why the rests are failed?
Error 2: Couldn't Fetch by direct submit:
I tried to directly submit siteA's sitemap file on siteA1's GSC, also get error.
So the question is:
Is there a way to successfully done the cross-site sitemap submission?
If the way Google mentions did not work, why there is single case(s) success?
