Anyone got hit by the core update ?

The core update's still rolling out, so it's no surprise to see rankings fluctuating wildly. I've noticed that sites with solid topic clusters tend to weather these storms better, probably because they're showcasing expertise and authority in a more natural way. The silo idea makes sense, but it's not just about slapping together a few related pages - you need to create a cohesive structure that actually adds value to users. What's worked for me is focusing on building out these clusters with strong EEAT signals and social proof, which seems to help Google understand the site's relevance and trustworthiness. It's worth noting that Gemini's content-stealing issue is a separate concern, but for now, it's best to just sit tight and wait for the update to finish rolling out before making any major changes.

Have strong EEAT, have strong blog topical cluster signals (better on seprarate tld domain) , fix technical seo issues your "first class cms" produces a lot- crawl waste urls, not be in a niche who is conquered by big media news sites where big G sends the traffic first.
