My brother took his girlfriend to Brighton for valentines day this year, he accidentally walked into 3 gay bars in a row. I still take the piss whenever I can.

Used to live down that way. And Brighton was one of the closest seaside towns to me
You’re right though, from up here everywhere is a bit of a trek.

Only been to Brighton once and had a great time. Stayed at Hotel du Vin for an end of programme workshop. Guys from every continent, drank till the hotel closed, convinced the manager to give me the keys to the bar if I kept a note of everything. Served Absinth and everything else I could find till most people passed out. Buried the programme manager under coats in the bar and went to bed.
No workshop the next day but we all went to the pier late afternoon and had a laugh, minus the programme manager who was not well Best thing was we were paid contractor rates for the 2 days and work paid for the bar bill
