Anyone get Tumblr slapped?

I experienced my first Tumblr slap ever today, luckily I only lost 5 of my poorer blogs, they only had around 1500 followers total so no problems there.

Anyone else? I'm more interested in seeing what these accounts had in common, I'll try to repost some things about my accounts later, although the banning seemed quite random.

Either way I'm going to try to lower the amount of content I'm putting out per day now it's about 24 posts a day over a 12 hour span. Some other things I'm not going to post here because you never know who's browsing BHW... But I will share via PM.

On Oct 4 I had a whole network of Tumblr pages nuked.....

Google gonna nuke Yahoo no matter what and Tumblr is the target du jour.
 
I have around 20 blogs which I use for link building (kind of a tumblr blog network)... and I still have them...

Is this something related to adult content?? I guess..

Okay, but Yahoo owns Tumblr, so Google doesn't control anything Tumblr related... If Google handed out bans for Tumblr, they'd ban all of Tumblr...

And nothing was adult related, some were just that cliche love type posts Tumblr chicks dig... One was of movie scenes,
 
I guess I am just lucky. I've had an adult blog for amount..5months? It's at 5.5k followers. I'm surprised it hasn't been banned yet! The most followers I ever had was 3.4k.
 
I have around 15k followers worth of blogs taken the fuck down. I was so pissed, one blog had 5k followers and boom. Gone for no reason.

They were all porn, because no one shares anything but porn. They say in their TOS that they allow it, yet ban anyone who puts it up. Someone make a tumblr for porn already.
 
I got around 17 blogs banned... one of them was created 6 months ago and had >15k Posts... but just 2000 followers. I suffered two ban waves.... I started with just 2 blogs. And both got banned, reasons tumblr said "for spam or ad/affiliates", I think they always put the same generic message in their mail templates xD. Then another ban wave deleted my 15 other blogs at once... Doh! I run p0rn blogs with ads...

One suggestion is... don't use PopUnders.

If u wanna see a demo on how my blogs look like on tumblr u can try "zuuumba" as a tumblr subdomain... I've been trying something with the theme so its a bit messy now.

As Affiliate Networks I'm using exoclick & crakrevenue... I want to try how much time can be alive a tumblr blog if u're spamming 24/7. And how many PPL conversions & uniques I can get.

You're using any affiliate link or banner with the blog or its just a normal nsfw blog no ad's or popunder or anything.
 
Will Tumblr Ban you from signing onto 4 blogs from same IP and using the same website to fill queue?

Probably... It depends if you want to burn and churn. I'm looking for long term blogs, and have a different strategy, so I do one per IP, but I use multiple on a public network IP, because that is ultimately the best even if I have 5-6 accounts on it...
 
I got hit the other day! I have 400 thousand followers taken away :( Still got one or two blogs but been told it was linked to a clean up. I emails tumblr staff and they said I was picked at random and because i had say 4 blogs in fashion and they messed up the tag fashion so all good fun and games! :)
 

Yea I got hit too.

Didn't realize it, until I was missing 200 visitors from a website of mine...

That is why it is better to have your own domain!

Yeah I wish they'd respond to their emails faster though. (support)
With my luck a new account I had was suspended, right as it was going viral, a picture I posted was just peaking, and had 74000 notes when the account was suspended... probably lost me so many followers...
 
doesn't matter, when the hammer comes whether 1 per ip or 1000 per ip they will all eventually fall the same...

I too had 3 other tumblr account with an average following off 3000-9000 following and I was so annoyed when my account got deleted. But its no of those... things that are our out of our control.
 
I get tumblr slapped every other week or every week, not everyday though :P
 
What is their reason for banning tho? I have a tumblr blog and Im not nowhere near the success of you guys...How did you guys get it so popular?
