My money site that has been live and making money for like six years dropped to page 10 for my main keyword. Traffic is completely gone. I looked around to see if it was another panda update but couldn't find anything. Anyone else experience a similar drop?

I noticed my main competitor also got hit but not as much. He dropped back to page 2. I had been mimicking his SEO methods for a while so I think it's not just a random slap on my end. Google definitely made some sort of algorithm change.

I haven't done any blackhat SEO on the site since 2010 and it's 100% unique content.

Almost all my sites dropped in ranking last few days. Some keywords now dropped 3-5 position, some 10-20 positions. All sites with unique content.

Yep, cpa site ranking in top5 dropped to around 340, Used to get 100-300 visitors a day down to 1-10

Seems that review pages took the biggest hit....I have a site with few hundreds articles (unique 100%, hand written) and 5 pages reviewing products - the last ones were driving most traffic to my site.

Yesterday it happened....

A drop of my sites too...traffic almost gone for few of them...

I had about 4 out of my 9 money sites increase in rankings if that counts (in the last 2 days).

Dance is out of the question, this is a big change and for now I can only think something is up against review sites/pages...

Well all my review sites moved up yesterday.

I don't get it. Some saying their rankings dropped without saying what they've done before so we can know what could be the reason for drops. If one site goes down another rises. So I would be more interested in what one did to their sites so we can know what is happening. On my part, my sites are just fine and dandy.

My website jumped from the bottom of page 2 to ranking number 3 on page 1 for the domain keyword. For a second keyword it jumped from page 10 to number 3 on page 3. I haven't touched my site since August 26th.

All my good money making sites dropped down to page 3-4, all my inactive sites which I've abandoned jumped up from nowhere to page 1-2. Makes no sense at all...

I have a pretty bare site that I set up for eCommerce and gave up on when i switch domain names get ranked on the 5th page for a SUPER competitive retail keyword that I never had been ranking for before this week.

As a retail site it is not "optimized" for a particular KW and prior to me dumping the site I hit it with a bunch of fivver gigs like the edu backlink gig and another blog comment gig and even did a closed linkwheel that I bought here on BHW which supposedly leaves a footprint.

Anyway, that was quite a surprise, at this point I am thinking of turning that page into a blog and trying to rank higher for the KW that I finally show up in.

Sure was Panda and confirmed by a Tweet by Matt Cutts:

I'm surprised theres not more ppl here discussing it. I guess it was a minor update and we are the unfortunate ones that were hit. most people are going on their every day routine not even knowing that a panda update took place.

When people say "I have uniqe content". What does that mean? My copywriter writes for big magazines (Vouge, elle etc). It def costs me a lot but the ROI is insane. I think that those getting hit by the panda only pay like $3 per article. Of course you are going to get hit. Google notice patterns. You have to understand that the internet does not need your crappy articles. You need to add some VALUE.

That's all...
