Hello everyone :)

I need some advice on travelling in Italy (Rome to Venice, and then back to Rome the same day).

Yes, I did use Google, but I'd like some insight from a local as well.

Please PM me if you're willing to help :)

BUMP after 12-ish hours to catch those who are now online...

That was bound to happen :)

Muscleteen - congratulations on your new Blue status by the way - well deserved!

i'm not from Italy, been there a few times before

there's a highspeed train called "Frecciargento" from Roma Termini or Roma Triburtina station to Venezia S. Lucia station (the journey is somewhat shorter than 4 hours in duration), from there you can use vaporetto, you can stay 9 hours in Venice if you go w/ the first train from Rome and leave w/ the last one from Venice

maybe the ridesharing app, Uber is an option too

Where Muscleteen is
Rome is, Venice is, Rome again is!

What's the big deal? ;)

Don't forget to Install EURAIL Rail Planner APP on your mobile phone. It helped me a lot when I was travelling in Europe!! You can easily estimate the shortest route for your destination. :)

What to watch in Rome and Venice:

Take the Youtube before you actually go there. It helps!
:)

Btw if you spend your time like the way those video makers did, I think you will come back a very bored man! :D:D There are actually better videos on YT btw! lol

Thanks. I saw that. But it looks expensive :( But from what I've seen the expensive trains are better than the cheap car rentals due to the tolls, fines and lack of parking spots, right?

Thanks, I'll check that out :)

Currently travelling Europe with Eurail and the app makes it so much easier.

I was in Italy few years ago, you will love Rome. Bring comfortable shoes and prepare to do a lot of walking, unless you want to be waiting in a cab, stuck in traffic. :)

Yes, I like Gucci too. but in private I am to be found in a thrift store. Wtf is this.

Modena is the best...

I'm from Italy.

But you can't really travel from Rome to Italy and then come back. It wouldn't make sense.

There is so much to visit in both places and it would take at least a day to reach Venice and then get back to Rome.
