Anyone from Brazil?

Just wondering if someone from brazil could let me know about the online market in BR, if people in Brazil spend money online to buy shit... like ebooks and stuff. Are they more careful than people from the US for example? Do they only buy from well established website? Do they only spend low amounts like $10? ...

any useful insight into this would be great!

They are more cautions but the online market has been increasing. People use to buy from reputable websites like Ebay (there it is called mercado livre) and most of the time they are afraid of being scammed (even buying from a "reputable" website - sellers use to sell counterfeit products like sneakers, handbags, etc). Maybe it's worthy trying, depending of what you are going to sell there (I don't think ebooks will bring a nice revenue... most people like reading paper books, besides that, they don't use to read ebooks inside trains or buses using a tablet or a smartphone like in US because they will get robbed...)

Don't waste your time selling ebooks in BR, this niche is not popular here.
But if you still want it... I recommend enter in the "Como ganhar dinheiro na internet" (how to earn money in internet) niche

Hi, I noticed that I've started to get an increase in orders from Clickbank sellers that are translating everything to Brazilian Portuguese (I have a translation Gig). I get almost weekly requests to translate products/sales pages/etc. Don't know if this is a fad or if people "discovered" Brazil and this is the new "Clickbank-Goldrush".

Well more and more people from Brazil are moving into the middle class and with that comes more money to spend on crap - the same thing will happen to india and nigeria over the next couple of years.

The truth is that Brazil is indeed getting better and better economically. Many Europeans moving there because of good paying Jobs (LOL, used to be the other way around!). Also: World Cup 2014 will bring a huge movement of money into the country.

Here in Brazil, like other brazilian members said, people are afraid of being scammed buying online things. Maybe it's shitty custome service that always dominate here.

But now the internet marketing is starting to really add up here, and people are more and more interested in niches like "how to make money", fitness and fat loss ebooks and a big whole marketing of supplements. Supplements here sells like "water in the desert". They are fucking expesnive here (think Universal creatine 1kg being $ 40 on USA and $ 200 on Brazil)!!! A lot of people do dropshipping buying from Health Designs and iHerb.

Other niches that ALWAYS are a win here: women care (all: hair, make-up, comestics, parfum, every piece of TV ads sells here for women). My friend is buying hair dryers from China and selling here at 5-6 more the price!

I personally don't like dropship.

A lot of people here copy a english product, translate it for brazillian portuguese and sells like no tomorrow! Example: adsense-secretsDOTcom to segredosdoadsenseDOTcomDOTbr. All you think about copycat infoproducts are starting to sell more here!
