So I'm currently working on a site that's basically a Fiverr clone. I want to use a different word than gig, I'm having a hard time thinking of one. It could be something totally off the wall for all I care, in fact that's probably best. I'd like to keep the word 4 letters or less.

    Thank you in advance.

    job?

    project?

    trip?

Hard to really come up with something. I feel like it would need to be something related to the words job, or gig or something like that so it is instantly known and recognizable what exactly the site is about to the normal person.

Maybe "task" or "work"? Or maybe use creative license on a common work to build brand recognition down the line...like instead of "gig", people hire professionals for their "chip" to chip in on a project.

I don't want it to be a synonym of the words "work" or "job" I kind of like cyberjunkie's idea with the word "hustle". I think overall I simply want to find a short word that sounds "cool" & is short in length.

The overall goal is that when people talk about it I want any readers or people listening to become engaged by asking the question "what the heck is a ____?". There's already a ton of competition for what I'm going after so I feel that one thing I need to make certain that I do is stand out from the crowd.

I'd say Apple which was originally a slang term for gig but I think that may have been used !. As an apprentice we used to call an extra bit of paid work "nixer" always thought it had a ring to it

I love it & it appeals to me because I've been a part of the gambling world for a long time. I think it also might have some negative effects on buyers. However if I was going after having services that mostly promote artists or anything to do with hip hop that would definitely be choice 1.

I kind of like bash for the simple fact that you associate the word with party.

I'm not going to use Apple but I'm feeling the word "nixer". It's definitely going on my list to choose from.
