Anyone Experimented with Longer Form Shorts (Over 45s)?

I’ve seen a few creators upload “longer Shorts” that go close to 60 seconds, and they seem to perform better in retention.
Maybe the algo is favoring more context-heavy content now?
Would love to know if anyone else tested the same. do 55s outperform 20s in your niche?

Faceless o dopamine boost shorts, no longer than 20s

A real person with some branding giving you a solution of something o talking about something that could have passed to you, it's ok go long and even consume the 3 minutes

Not always long shorts perform well. It depends on content quality. Someone times small shorts also perform well. You just have to keep the viewer hooked for entire duration.
 
Only works for quality content, like something interesting that viewers will stay and watch the full video. But other niches like faceless, AI content, etc., would be better if it's just like less than 15 seconds.

Yes is better to be longer shorts as youtube take in consideration the watch time so like 50 sec will be better than something shorter

Yeah Ive noticed the same trend Longer Shorts seem to hold viewers better especially when there’s a story or clear hook YouTubes algo definitely values watch time more now.
