Anyone Experiencing This With Google's Featured Snippets?

I structure my content in a way so that google's natural language processing algorithm can understand it and display it on the featured snippet.

But today my traffic tanked completely. The featured snippet queries which were bringing me the most traffic were gone. Google just removed the featured snippet for those queries. And I can confirm its a pattern because all my other low volume queries on featured snippets are still ranking.

The worst part is my site no longer appears in SERPs for the keywords it was ranking in the featured snippet.

Is anyone else experiencing this? To confirm just search for the query your site ranks in the featured snippet and it must be high volume keyword.

UPDATE: I almost forgot about Google's new support for snippet controls.

In September, Yoast added the default meta tags to opt-in all Yoast SEO users in for featured snippets.

I am guessing that there was a bug that affected the meta tags users or Google is just running yet another test.
