anyone ever tried virtualwin?

I am trying to find a way to safely run cracked software that may have viruses.
my computer doesnt have enough resources to run vmware.
anyone heard of virtualwin? Does it do the same thing as vmware?

Im using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 because its free and safe to install.

what kind of computer do you have that can`t run vmware. it is pretty slick and doesn`t request high resources. hell even a Pentium 3 can run it

The emulators need little resources themselves, it is the virtual system that uses them. So if you want to run XP and give it 500 MB ram and you only have 756 MB total on your physical PC nothing can help, no matter how slick.

Download Sandboxie and install whatever it is you're thinking about in that. It has no access to your real system and works by creating another directory structure within a sandbox folder. If a program wrote a virus to C:\windows\explorer.exe, then Sandboxie would copy the file it tries to write to into the sandbox version of the directory structure and then let the virus infect that, and not the real file. The real files remain the same though and at any point, when you're bored of the software you installed into the sandbox, you can delete it. Remember that when you delete the sandbox you're only deleting the temporary sandboxed stuff, not the real system stuff.

Piece of cake. The software has miniscule resource requirements.
