Anyone ever passed out unexpectedly ?

Might seem like a strange question but this is the lounge and i felt like asking.

I woke this morning at 5am ish and made my way to the toilet for a man (stood up) wee, pee, piss, slash whatever you wanna call it.

I don't remember making my way there or starting the process of having a pee, all i remember is suddenly becoming aware of feeling really hot, then hearing a loud ringing noise before losing my sight.

Then i woke up on the floor beside the toilet. (Somehow i didn't pee on myself or on the floor)

My next memory is being woken by my wife in front of the bedroom door where i had passed out again, she knew i was there because of the loud bang caused by me falling. I have no recollection of moving from the bathroom floor to the bedroom.

Im yet to see the doctor but i think it may have been caused by pain in my ankle.

Have you ever passed out / fainted unexpectedly?
Huhhhhh!
Always happens to me when i'm drunk!

Did you get up so suddenly? Might have been rush of blood to the head or something. o.o
I have never fainted before so I really couldn't tell. What if it was some sort of mild stroke aka TIA? That's something serious. Tons of possibilities too. Are you diabetic? *sigh

Why don't you use Skype and add the YourMD Bot to your contact list. It's really a cool extension of Skype. You chat with it - it asks you your signs and sx and it provides you some form of "online" dx.

So something like that happened to me a few months ago, since always I sometimes felt like dizzy and that I was going to pass out, but never really happened, I even started to ''enjoy'' the feeling of being dizzy (I was weird sorry) until one day I was cleaning my bedroom so I was standing up, I started feeling dizzy and started to ''enjoy'' the dizzy feeling and didn't bother of sitting down or anything... and I passed out. My last memory was me feeling dizzy and then I woke up at the floor with a headache and started opening my eyes and I literally felt like when a cartoon character is knocked out and starts to slowly open the eyes, it was so weird. Since then I've never felt dizzy again.

It could be so many things. Low blood sugar, anemia and so on. Go see a doctor ASAP.

Some brilliant info in this thread, I'm no expert but one thing no one has mentioned is that it's pretty normal to lose the memory of directly before you pass out my girlfriend actually passed out giving blood last week and has no memory of getting to the hall to give blood never mind being there. Doctor said it's completely normal! Still go get a check up tho!

Maybe orthostatic intolerance as @BlackBDO was basically getting at. Whete your nervous system doesnt function properly.

Could get a blood pressure monitor from amazon and check it yourself, lay for 15 take hr/bp, then stand and do the same. Just google for more info.

Tilt table test and testing for POTS might find something.

Unexpectedly yes, but not without any reason.

Once i was very ill, which lasted only day. My stomach hurt like a motherfucker (never felt such stomach pain before), more than likely food poisoning. I passed out in the bathroom. Everything became black suddenly and i woke up on the floor next to the sink. I lost a few hours. I didn't/couldn't eat anything for the whole day, so it could have been low blood sugar.
On the other occasion i was ill too, i had a very high fever and my head hurt like never before. I invited my buddy over dinner (aka drinking) beforehand and i didn't want to cancel on him. I took aspirin and as usual, we drank a lot, not more than usual, but a lot. Probably not the best idea, anyway, we went to sleep (not together inb4), i woke up later to take a piss and same stuff happened. Everything became black suddenly and i woke up on the floor next to the toilet. I lost a few hours this time as well.
My memories stayed intact both times.

Go see a doc, you might require medical attention.

Never happened to me. Sounds scary though. Hope you can get yourself checked out at the doctors and hopefully there is an explanation for it.

When I used to smoke weed. I would sometimes get light headed and just collapse. Happened 3 times. Like standing in a path with my friends, randomly falling to the ground in front of them. Which they thought was pretty messed up but we all laughed about it at the time. Hasn't happened in forever. I think it was dehydration messing with my brain.

Exact same thing happened to me once. It was a little embarrassing though.

I usually take a shower in the mornings but this one particular morning, I decided to have a bath and just relax for a bit. I made the water too hot but I said "screw it, I'm a man. I'll get used to it".

I stewed for a while before standing up and drying myself off. Next thing, the exact thing happened to me. Lost my vision, ringing in my ears, fell on the floor wet and naked. It wasn't a pretty sight.

This was around 3 or 4 years ago. It's never happened since. I'm pretty sure it's just because the blood rushed too quickly from my head or something like that.

Something like that actually happened to me a few times while I was on public transport, but I believe it had something to do with a lack of air or blood pressure.
And sometimes you can feel dizzy if you stand up or wake up very quickly. But you should definitely go see a doctor and run some test since there was no reason to pass out.

I did and it was really weird. I didn't just fall on the floor. Instead I fell onto my knees, I was looking to the ground and my head started shaking like crazy, but my vision was the complete oposite of my head movements. It was very surreal and indeed it was the first time in my life that I felt totally out of control. It happened again several times, just not as hard as it did the first time. I never told my doctor about this.

When I masturbate spying on my 75 years old neighbor. He's a fox.

You need to see a doctor right away.

If you are suffering from anxiety and stress, you might want to try EFT. It works like a charm and eliminates stress and anxiety.

Nothing to worry about here. These type of blackouts are caused by a sharp redistribution of blood while having low BP.

I used to induce these blackouts all the time as a teen. I would simply stand up quickly while holding my breath with full lung capacity. They lasted for 2 sec. and when you woke up, its like you are born again for a moment. Its like an out of body experience.

I could be wrong and you could just be dying.

I passed out once in my life, but it was really scary.

I was in a hardware shop with my dad talking to the lady behind the counter. I swear I said "I feel dizzy" before dropping to the floor, but both my dad and the lady behind the counter swear I said nothing whatsoever. I fell with my head on the metal corner of the counter, but was only unconscious for ~5 seonds, luckily the hardware shop was literally right next to the hospital so after sitting down for 30 minutes and still not feeling well I went to the hospital. They determined that my I blood pressure is always too low, so whenever I stand up a little too fast from my chair I start feeling dizzy and everything turns black. It's pretty fucked up since I basically stand up anywhere for longer than 10 minutes (depends on how I'm feeling) before I start feeling dizzy and if I don't sit down immediately when it starts I know I'm going to faint within seconds.

Scary shit!
