Anyone ever changed niche and it worked out?

Guys, I wrote earlier about this... I have monetized channel that I dont want to drop off. It was gaming channel, went viral, got subs, but subs are inactive, etc... I was trying for quite some time to change niche on that channel, was trying one, after I saw that it wont work, I tried with different niche again, still not luck. I also privated all videos after changing niche.
Another important note is that I was aiming for niches with short videos, which means good tittles in order to get recommended.... Now I wonder is that even possible since i have over 10k inactive subs on the channel?
I could probably go with search views, but I was looking for that short sweet views from recommended.
Anyway question is, have any of you ever changed niche and it worked out good?

BTW. Since I thought that changing niche will not work after so much trying I managed to grow new channel in the same niche that I tried on my monetized channel and so far it is good, getting aroung 5k views a day from browse. Still not monetized... Anyway, as I said I would not like to drop off monetized channel... maybe you have some ideas how I can use it, only short videos are option, under 2minutes, ofc if it is even possible to change niche.

Hell yeah I’ve tried tons of niches, you go till one really works I’ve had like 10 channels under one email address just keep researching
