So I was curious and decided to give article marketing a shot.
I blast several of my sites to just 750-1000 article sites.

One of my site is more than a year old, it ranks 27-30 for the primary keyword. After the blast, it flew to position 87. Now it's slowly climbing back but it now hovers between 50th position and above.

Then there's the other 2-3 sites which are nearly half a year old by now. One of them were initially ranking 12 for a primary keyword. After the blast, it flew to 89+. Then it disappeared from the SERPs. But occasionally it comes back but it appears in position 80+. The rest of the sites too.

Damn, G-dance? Or sandboxed? lol

I don't understand this panda update. One of my website was working fine, i blasted a few web2.0 sites to it. It disappeared from the serps, nowhere to be found now. It's more then 1 month now.

EDIT: Your website is dancing. Google is rethinking where to place your website

Thanks for the replies guys.

Unfortunately it's been a week already. I guess I have to wait somemore. Dang!

But the panda update did not affect the search engine rankings in huge sense..

BlackSeng and Knoxgates, It happens whenever you will do only one type of backlinking.

I have seen 6 - 7 years old domains blasting with blog comments and they are moving up and down and sometimes went out of SERP, after one or 2 months they once again appear and start climbing slowly, so the main point is that dont only do one type of blast.

Usually article sites are crawled on daily basis and mostly your articles crawled and indexed within 1 - 2 days (talking about good article directories), so diversify your backlinks and try to keep link building on regular basis, sudden blasts sometimes trigger the penlties like sandbox etc.

Dont worry about the rankings and keep building high quality backlinks, you will get your positions back in few weeks and will get some more authority.

I noticed the changes too regarding article blasts. I have usually had great results with AMR article blasts. Mostly getting to page 1 after the blast within a day. I had used spun contents generated with spinnerchiefpro and input them into AMR.

Lately in April, things change, my article blasts send my pages to no where. I thought its a fluke and tried more pages. One by one they disappear from the index after the blasts.

The Panda has definitely changed things regarding article blasts. I am still at a lost on how to recover those listings. Hope that its just the dance.

Hey, did you ever check how much your cotent is unique after spining it with spinnercheif ?

I do several types and mine went off the charts from page one and it hasn't passed page 10. It's been about a month now and i just keep throwing links at it and hoping.

My sites shot up the ranks and got on page 1 for some good terms, but only last about a week, then last sunday they suddenly either disappeared or dropped several pages and haven't come back.
Have my fingers crossed it's just dancing and they will come back strong :)

Same here. I noticed sb blasts to the over spammed blogs will put you off the g-dar for a while if not for good.
I used to be #4 now am #80-85

I also tried completely whitehat site blast through AR and it got delisted. FFS

I m changing strategy . ill involve more offline methods to lessen dependance on the g00gle.

Try to xrumer that bitch hard.

I also learned this week that mister google is punishing sites that build links with tools, so hire someone to do manual SEO....

I recommend these guys...

Google simply does not have the processing power to determine if content is human spun or automated. Don't over estimate Google. Just keep building backlinks from as many different sources as you can. You'll be back.

First of Google does. 2nd of all, I was referring to back-links built by tools...

You can not build 10K links 1 month and then nothing and keep your ranking at next google update.... highly unlikely.

All of you need to do a consistant backlinking strategy otherwise you will see this kind of dance again and again, also keep posting unique content, specialy if you are doing AMR blast, make sure that your content is unique enough about 50% or higher.

Dont give up and keep high quality link building, you site will be back for sure with more and more authority.

This is EXACTLY what happened to one of my sites after a few AMR blasts lol. It did eventually come back (stronger) but I never stopped building links (however, i haven't used AMR on it afterwords and did it manually).

They certainly are cracking down on spam with this new update. I personally would go for manual quality SEO until you can work out what is happening. I would certainly say they are starting to pick imprints up so watch out and try to keep them on their toes!

I'm thinking to manually add high quality links to my site and spamming comments to ... :p

The spun content is usually 30% - 50% unique. I had achieved good results before 20 April this month using this SC + AMR blast.

This past 2 weeks have been baffling, results were negative and I have stopped this strategy for a while until I sort things out.

Here is my advice...

Be very consistent and diverse with your backlinking. I think that all google is doing is taking a look at sites that had really big peaks with backlinking and then checking what they are doing now. Plus, I think they are looking at the type of links that sites have.

But about some of the comments...
I really think that whoever said "don't over-estimate Google" was spot on. Don't be afraid of these guys. They are just a big company that doesn't function to incredibly well. We all read about the genius programmers working for them, but they are not God. They have weaknesses. And I don't think that they will ever be able to get rid of people manipulating their search engine. There is just too much money at stake.
