2 of mine have come back to page 2 this month for most keywords, I just hope it's not a temporary thing. Anyone else experience the same?

All of your rankings are just a temporary thing. One day you're ranking on the first page and then the next day Google releases another update that deindexes your website.

To answer your question, no I didn't have any old websites come back, although a few of my existing website's rankings have been fluctuating lately.

Yes, a few of my websites did recover from the penguin about 10 days ago, I am creating new links and they are slowly climbing again.

Luckily the updates didn't have any noticeable affect on my sites.

Yeah I'm gonna continue building some new links to these 2 sites. Hopefully they get back on page 1 for another year at least. :)

I have not seen any drop from my websites after the last penguin update. They are still on Page 1.

Good luck! I'm going to do the same with my old affiliate websites that started getting traffic again after they were deindexed (I used to test black hat methods on them).

By the way, sorry about my first comment, I've just been in a bad mood lately.

i have recovered last month. (though its not 100% recovery, before penguin it had 3k daily visitor, after hit it was 300-950 visitors; now i am seeing around 2k daily)
1. no new link updated
2. removed a few links
3. only 2 post per month added

Yeah I am able to recover 2 of my sites but 3 sites are still nowhere to be found within top 20.

no worries man, good luck with the recovery process.

I did.
Think I said somewhere else on here but I had far too many links on web2.0s and the problem is (I think) that I built them too quickly, something like 80 of them in the end and I should have waited for them to germinate before inserting my links.

Took them off (apart from a few of them) and my site is back to where it was before the update.

I always say:" Better not to get hit, than recovering all the time"

Yes. A few of websites has recovered after I removed bad links. Penguin update is rolling out and I think it will continue for a long time. So just relax and watch how it goes.

Yes, one that had been negative SEO'd just prior to when the penalties were rolling out....this was a Hail Mary shot at recovery, so it may also hurt your site...proceed with caution. Mine needed some serious anchor text dilution due to the kw's used in the neg seo attack

1. Disavowed links
2. Put a good article on a guest post in my niche
3. Posted new stuff on the site daily
4. Blasted supporting tiers for 3 days with GSA...used brand kw's, main kw's and generics
5. Changed the title tag slightly and some H1's
6. One week later, hit it with XRumer with brand and generic kw's
7. Got back to page 1 again about 3 weeks ago...main kw's now in top 7 spots

I recovered a number of sites over the past couple Penguin updates. It all boils down to link cleanup, and I don't mean the disavow tool. I mean actual link removals.

I don't do the link removals though, I use a service for that but I manage the campaigns entirely for my clients and charge them a flat fee for removal of penalty based on what I think they can afford. My starting rates are $2,000 though.

Long story short you can recover from Penguin, but it all boils down to aggressively removing spam just like you aggressively created it.

I recovered my offline site. I got a company to manually delete toxic links. Was well worth the money.
