My rankings didn't really change but my meta title is only showing my brand name only for any keyword, anyone else experience this? How can i fix this?

Are you using JavaScript to change/add the meta title? Is your meta title longer than 50-60characters?

You can find out if that's the case by adding view-source in front of the URL, f.ex: view-source:https://www.blackhatworld.com

Yes—Google often rewrites meta titles automatically when it thinks your title isn’t clear, relevant, or matches the search intent better.

Google can change your meta title in search results if it thinks your original title isn’t clear or useful, so the best way to fix it is to write a simple, relevant title that matches the page content and user intent.

Google has been increasingly aggressive with 'Title Rewrites' lately. If they are only showing your brand name, it usually means your current H1 tag and Meta Title are either too long, keyword-stuffed, or disconnected from the page content. To fix this, try aligning your Meta Title exactly with your H1 tag—this often 'forces' Google to use your preferred text. Also, check if you have any hidden <title> tags or if a plugin is auto-generating titles. Have you checked your 'Search Console' to see which specific queries are triggering this shortened version?

Yes Google rewrites the title of the website according to its algorithm. You will need to do research by auditing the live SERP and keywords which rank for the website pages which you have query.

You will find titles where you have used hyphen "-", pipe "|" and the title is very lengthy with these hyphen and pipe. If the title which you have created is lengthy and the "|" is reflecting after 40 to 50 characters than Google will adjust the title as per its algorithm.

Yes this happens, and you’re definitely not alone.
It’s usually Google rewriting your title tags, not a ranking issue.
