Anyone else working faster writing articles by themselves instead of using Chat-GPT?

That's not a knock on AI. But, personally, I find that it takes me more time to clean up the false information and below-average writing that it produces in order to use it frequently.

Has anyone else found themselves using much less time just doing the writing, SEO optimization, etc. on their own?

I guess you're just a great writer if you're finding your own work better than AI's, that's not to say that AI can't benefit you exponentially...

When you run out of article topics, when you can't think of an outline, if you've got the feeling there's something missing from your content, if you're stuck expanding a heading - these are all points I feel everyone can benefit from.

-says the dumb*ss that can barely write, let alone write content!

Depends on the topic. For my extremely technical, topics, I don't bother with AI. As you said there's too many errors, conflicting information, repetition and sometimes over generalization when there needs to be specificity.

Yes, changing promptings can usually fix at least a few of these things, but then I'm spending almost just as much time writing prompts versus having someone/myself just write the thing in the first place.

Things like narrative, pacing, etc I don't think is still there with AI.

Again, it really depends where stuff is going, topic and goal. I still use AI for a lot of stuff.

Yes, it takes more time to write with 3.5 because a good % of the information it gives is false. GPT 4 is a different story. It will still take longer if i'm writing a really important article that absolutely needs to be fact checked very carefully and can't have 1 single inaccurate word. However, if the article isn't that important you can usually trust GPT4. It will still make little mistakes here and there, but for the most part it's pretty accurate

I use some AI Tools to generate an outline of what to write, such as headings or article layout, but all content is manually written.

Ah, thanks!

Well, I guess I'm just used to the flow of a certain type of writing that I've done a lot.

But I agree that tools like Chat GPT can be used to sort out some of the things that would otherwise take ages to do.

Btw, have you noticed a drastic change in content writing since Chat GPT became available?

I see your point. Yeah, that makes sense.

I completely understand your point. AI can be a valuable tool, but it's not without its challenges. The editing and refining process can sometimes outweigh the time saved during the initial writing. Many of us do find ourselves doing more of the writing and SEO optimization manually to ensure quality and accuracy. It's a trade-off we make to maintain the integrity of our content. Efficiency is key, but so is delivering top-notch work.
