Set me up a niche adult dating site using Dating Factory little over a week ago. It's online but I haven't done any advertising or monetizing yet as I'm browsing the site to see if I can find any room for improvement's/modification's/etc. When I first went online and wanted to browse my site, I quickly noticed that I could only see members who had a trial membership and no revealing or sexually explicit profiles or pics. I also quickly noticed that my membership (membership as the owner?) was only a trial membership as well. Well I got in touch with my account manager and explained this to him and he said that they would upgrade my membership to Gold. OK...I'll buy that. Logged back onto my site and noticed that I could then see all members up to and including Gold membership. Up to and including? I then saw that there was another membership level called V.I.P. Well I contacted him again and told him that as the owner/administrator of my own site that I would appreciate having all the privileges of a V.I.P. membership so that I could fully browse my own site and as to why. He then told me that if I wanted to have V.I.P. status, then I would have to upgrade to that level myself which would cost me 14,90 euro a month. What? So I asked him: "Let me get this right. For me to see everything on my own site, I have to purchase a V.I.P. membership?" He said that is correct. That they do this for their own bookkeeping and administration purposes. Hmmm...something just don't taste right with about that. Or am I seeing it wrong? I mean, as the owner of the site, I think I have the right to see everything on the site and have access to all aspects of it. Right or wrong? Has anyone else had this type of experience, not only with Dating Factory, but with other white label'ers? If so, then please let me know. Also let me know your opinion as to whether I'm right or wrong on thinking this way? I look forward to your input on this. Thnx and take care all.
