Anyone Else Noticing Facebook Ads Acting Strange Lately?

The Facebook ads system lately seems to have its own mind. Some campaigns that should perform great just burn through budget with no conversions, while random test ads suddenly take off for no clear reason. The CPMs are up and targeting feels less accurate than before like Meta is pushing traffic that doesn’t really match the audience setup.

A few people mentioned that warming up accounts, rotating creatives often, and keeping ad spend consistent seem to help. Not sure how true that is, but it’s interesting to see how unpredictable the platform’s become.

Would like to hear what others are noticing is it just the algorithm being weird, or has Meta really changed something behind the scenes again?

Interesting approach, what’s your average CPM when targeting tier 1 countries lately

You're right: Facebook's ads haven't been as reliable lately. I would say that you should test little creative adjustments often and not make big changes to your budget too rapidly. It looks like spending the same amount of money and slowly increasing it assist the algorithm stay stable. Also, attempt to refresh your audiences or arrange their interests in a more strategic way. Sometimes even modest changes can get things back on track when Meta's system starts acting up.

yes iam too this 3 days later i spend money but no sales i dont know why?? normally if i spend this amount meta give me 5 or more purchase but 3 days ago no purchase

This is mainly because Meta is adjusting its delivery algorithm to prioritize engagement signals over conversions. You should maintain a steady spend, update creative regularly, and focus on rebuilding quality engagement files so the algorithm can relearn more accurately.

Yes — it’s not just you. Meta Platforms has rolled out major behind-the-scenes changes to its ad delivery algorithm (e.g., greater reliance on AI, changes in attribution, and audience-matching logic).
This means variability like high CPMs, unexpected winners/losers, and erratic targeting is now more common.
So yes — your observations about warming up accounts, rotating creatives and consistent spend may help because you’re working with a changing system rather than the "old" one.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same! Feels like the algorithm’s been all over the place lately—rotating creatives and keeping spend steady does seem to help a bit though.

Meta s delivery has been unpredictable lately. accounts active, rotating creatives, and steady spending helps a bit, but sometimes it really just feels like the algorithms testing traffic randomly.

There is no definitive rule about FB's rules of the game, but the ads that are performing well are decreasing due to saturation and the test ads are increasing, which shows that always testing changes and expanding the budget when encountering a campaign with good results is a measure worth trying.

Yeah, Facebook ads have been a bit unstable lately. Try making small creative tweaks regularly and avoid sudden budget jumps. Gradually increasing spend helps keep performance steady. It can also help to update or reorganize your audiences, small changes often bring things back on track.

That’s right — Meta is prioritizing internal data over granular targeting. The algorithm now “guesses” overall behavior, so sometimes test ads outperform the main campaign.

In a world where the Meta algorithm is prioritizing engagement signals and is constantly volatile, having a high-quality and reliable advertising account is a vital foundation. With this foundation, you can effectively execute optimization strategies: maintain a stable budget to support the algorithm, regularly refresh Creative, and focus on rebuilding a quality engagement audience so that Meta can learn more accurately. Only with a strong account can these strategic changes help you stabilize performance and adapt to changes in the system.

I would even say not lately, but always. Meta is constantly adding firewood to the stove. I had 70 purchases yesterday, and today I spent 10 :)

Yeah FB ads feel unpredictable lately rotating creatives and keeping spend steady does help a bit but it seems like Meta has tweaked something again

Hi, i never regreted selling my old fb ads accounts at the cost of 1600.

Fb has never workout for me. Adwords does. So, i prefer to stick with what works

Thanks

I’ve noticed that even small changes in audience settings or ad copy can swing results dramatically. Seems like the system rewards experimentation more than sticking strictly to proven setups right now.

Started running an ads with same creatives I used before, I didn't get a single conversation for two days, it's very unusual

Lately Ive found that letting campaigns run without constant tweaking sometimes performs better over optimizing too early might confuse the algorithm more than help it.

every year when entering the 3rd quarter everything becomes expensive and stagnant, sadly. Many previously successful ads x3 even x5 ROAS overnight. I am trying to maintain and rotate them instead of turning them off, after warming up they seem to be a bit more stable but still monitoring to see how it goes.
