More importantly, who doesn't use AdBlock these days? I'm surprised internet advertising is still profitable. I haven't seen an ad in years.
 
Those who love to click on the competitions adwords for shits and giggles dont usually block ads or use AdBlock :-)

Countless sites do this, I believe DeviantArt is among them. Any Image & Magazine site has this going on...just like those videos with "you may skip this after 15 seconds".
 
Its all about the money. I noticed that the more money you make the better the people you work with treat you.
 
lol. Not just this, there are too many big companies violate their tos (for small publishers eh...)
Ask.com , doing ppc arbitrage, also ad placement (ad mimicking, means that ads looks same with content)
 
Yea, since they spend so much money and get so much traffic, Google turns a blind eye.
