So, I fired up my uploader yesterday and went out, expecting to find 15 accounts finished when I got back. Instead, it was still stuck at the login page because YT's login form just changed.

Now, the form name is "gaia_loginform", like gmail's.
+ there is now a checkbox labeled "PersistentCookie", saying "Remember me on this computer"...that is default "Checked"

It says on the page, you can log in to YT with your google account.

This means Google & YT just got a big step closer to being the same thing, and they're probably sharing more info back & forth than previously and by default. So, it might be a smart idea to stop making YT accounts with gmails and go to Yahoo or MSN or gmx or SOMETHING else.

For that matter, it might be a good idea to ditch YT altogether and move your operation to Daily Motion.

Just a thought.

I didn't saw anything like that yet! it goes as usual.

hmmm. i noticed in firefox, it's the usual login. But in IE (which i use for automation), it's the new login. Kinda strange.

Okay. if i do it manually, even in IE, it's the regular login. If I do it automated, my bot first goes to google, then to y0utube.c0m/login?next= and i get the new login. Maybe something about the referer is triggering a new page.

I saw the other day they moved the page to google but today was ok and now they switched again. So what the fuck do they want with this move...to promote gmail through youtube login page...I really don't understand this change...It's a pain in the ass if you use roboform and have many accounts.Does anyone now how to mass change the old url for login with the new one?

i cleared my private data and it went back to the standard form. i picked up a cookie from google somewhere along the way, i guess, and now they're trying to force you to associate your accounts and drop "PersistentCookie"'s...

Like I said, seems like a good idea to stay away from gmail for YT creation anymore.

OTOH, the merger could be useful. Now you can watch videos from your gmail acct.

Code:

I'm wondering if views from gmail up your view count...

It's probably random testing a new backend which will go live eventually.

it looks like they changed the login for good. Anyone else noticed the new login?

Yes, I'm getting the new login page as of today

holy shit im behind i only just got it on opera now LOL...

my IE is slightly retarded...

Google and YT logins have been close for quite some time. Almost a year ago I could log into my Google account and it automatically logged me in to my YT account (only had 1 at the time). They know people are lazy so if they can integrate the logins people are less likely to go somewhere else and only use YT.

more like, don't use gmail anymore if you don't want all your yt accounts connected and shut down en masse.
