I’ve had my TT account for a few years now. It’s my gamer handle and a handle I’ve used for over 20 years and I am pretty sure I made it up (Rishiku).
I keep getting reported for impersonating someone. I barely have any videos on my account (mostly just scroll)
I have appealed multiple times…I think I’m on like the 4th or 5th time going through this process.
Anyone else having this issue?

I’ve seen similar situations happen on TikTok. Sometimes the system flags usernames automatically if multiple reports are submitted, even if there’s no real impersonation.
 
In case you do get flagged; when you appeal, you can show that you are not impersonating anyone by displaying that you have been using this tag for X amount long.

Verifying your identity with a document is fine.

I've noticed TikTok's scanning process has been quite strict lately, and many long-standing accounts are being falsely reported. You could try adding a clearer profile picture and bio, sometimes that helps the system identify your real account.

I've encountered this situation before. My advice for this appeal is that, if possible, you should attach screenshots of old game or forum accounts where you used the name Rishiku many years ago as proof of your name usage history.
 
I think many accounts get flagged because of invalid traffic or ad placement issues.

Yeah, that happens more than you’d think. TikTok’s system can be overzealous with usernames, especially if your handle sounds like someone else’s or a brand. Even if you’ve used it for years, automated reports can trigger bans or restrictions.
 
just keep appealing if you still can, don't change your username or make new accounts while banned, most recoveries happen after a few tries and some patience

Yeah, TikTok can be weird with reports sometimes. If enough people report something, the system can flag it even if there’s no real issue.

If the username is unique and you’ve had it for years, it’s probably just false reports triggering the reviews. Hopefully support eventually sees that after the appeals.

I know about this kind of situation. It's a very disturbing glitch on Tiktok system. You need to keep appealing until everything subsides.

getting hit with impersonation reports on an account you’ve owned for years is usually a sign of a targeted attack or an algorithm glitch
 
If you're being flagged for impersonation without posting content, it's likely a targeted report bot or a massive glitch in their automated moderation
 
I once had an issue like this , but it stopped coming after few months. Your case could be similar.
 
TT recent security update is very strict and is causing alot of issues to users.
 
Maybe you have an anti-fan that is trying to mess up with your TT page, or there could be a person who want your username so much that they want to report your account.

Try to find out who it is and see if you guys could have any solution on that.

since appeals aren't sticking, try adding a clear about me video or link ur other socials to prove ur the original owner
 
if u r getting hit with impersonation reports while barely posting, it might be a targeted attack or someone is using your handle on other platforms to scam people.
