Anyone else have any luck with Google Play?

Nice effort with Google Play man, I think the free app + ads model would work out better. You could also create a website to appeal to whatever niche it is the app caters for.

You could also think about building a list from many more free subscribers.

I added an app yesterday and already got a click on adsense, nothing big but it shows promise. Is there a way to optimize your app listing to get it listed high up in the results? I'm wondering the best ways to market apps.

i've had some good luck, i had a $190 month last month.

i have 6 apps, 3 paid and 3 free. i put advertising for my paid apps in my free ones instead of ad network ads

@ Op , what i feel is you should concentrate on app promotion more . Traffic matters a lot , lets say your app is ranking no. 2 for "xxx games" after promotion and no. 20 for the same keyword as of now . What is better ?

Think about it .

oh i know now, this new marketing bussines.
last week i have order to create google play dev with cc.
good luck all

This app idea has been running for a long time in my head, but could not find a reliable partner.

I have quite a few apps, but I want to look into adding new apps to a new developer account to spread the risk of an account ban wiping out all my apps.

Anyone running multiple google play developer accounts? If so, what steps do you take to keep them unlinked. (proxies, cache, different device, etc).

Are you guys using a specific program to make these apps for Android?

Once you are complete with the app, do you need to get it approved?

I am using the Eclipse IDE to write the apps. Android apps are written using Java.

As of right now, google play has no approval process for apps. However if your app is flagged they tend to review it.

I used Adobe Air in Flash CS5, but now I'm building in the Titanium SDK for iPhone

What programming languages do you need to create apps?

why don't you guys try websitetoapp?
(Google it with 3w and .net at the end of course)

where can i get a good guide for this and which sdk is good for developing android apps?

Hi,

I am a Mobile Application developer, and I do both Android and iPhone apps. If anyone here needs them, for their websites, or have a great idea, let me know. I'll develop them for you.

I just created an app (website of mine into an android app) and they suspended my app from Google Play. Has anyone else had this experience?

Hey could you give me a ballpark figure of what you charge for an app? PM me if you can - I have an idea for an app would like a quote if possible.

never EVER monetize your app through admob and the likes.

Asking for $1 without free apps/demo will be hard to make decent income as well

you need either..
1. freemium model (in-app purchase)
2. free/paid app combination (just look at custom launchers)
3. using CPA based ads

remember that launching apps at the right time could be the key to success as well. Just look at how many "tiny" related games after tiny tower boomed in iOS.

i wont recommend building games though. you can use your games to cross-promote your main apps

Really dumb question but is there anything stopping you from using something like websitetoapp with a site you dont own but with your own ads? (It's late here apologies)

well that is funny. *If you dont mind, what did you use to create that
