Anyone else getting a lot "PayPal Unauthorized Claims" ???

I noticed since 3 days ago strange activity with PayPal they started placing "Unauthorized Claims" since 3 days ago from like 2012 2013 2014 and 2015 ???
I got over 65 of those total like $4,500 got taking away in just 3 days it's it just me or it's happens to everyone?

also I noticed there's 1 guy from BHW forum for sure buying followers for Indonesian instagram profiles and then few weeks latter places "Unauthorized Claims" for all payments it's anyone else here noticed that too ?

on average 95% of the time they don't give money back, usually when I had my money back from "unauthorized transaction" it would be the same day with note like we didn't find any evidence of unauthorized use so here your money back but if they hold the funds longer then 24h then more likely its bye bye to the money... sucks

starting from 2012? that sucks big time
i can't say that i would have noticed anything, but i'm not a service provider, although there were a couple of suspicious chargebacks on fiverr lately which is also connected to paypal, but nothing to your extent

you can make a shitlist thread against the guy, who does those chargebacks after getting the followers, if you have proof, however if he's using one paypal for all the transactions, i'd imagine that paypal will kick his ass sooner than later, he can't just charge back everything

Dont know. Until now i always got my money back (but not within 1 day) do you talk to someone at paypal about it? Thats what i do...

I had a guy buy an eBook from my website the other day and immediately dispute it, so the funds are frozen. The money doesn't really bother me, its more the fact that I cant take back the product. But I didn't allow the refund, so it'll be interesting to see what PayPal does.

I wish but BHW policy says if user outside this forum u can't open shitlist on him basically i need to know hes username on this forum but I know he from here somewhere
even if I knew he probably just a user with 5 posts who got nothing to loose

your case it's easy to win
1) you selling online services
2) it's dispute not claim
3) provide tracking number choose "others" if others describer "online service" and click submit wait 1-2 weeks see your money flow back I never lost disputes and if I call ill get them closed instantly in my favor

I will pay through Paypal for some things and will accept Paypal only on certain auction sites and then only when required. Most of my sales on the big auction site are in an area in which wire transfers or other non-Paypal forms of payment are permitted. Other than that, I will not accept Paypal for so much as a bag of peanuts unless the money is sent as a gift and even then I don't like to do it.

Paypal offers little, if any seller protection and earns a ton of interest money by locking up accounts for up to 180 days which is a maximum allowed under US law.

To use a trite phrase, Paypal sucks!

It's an "intangible good". In most of the cases Paypal doesn't refund the payments for intangible goods.

indeed, i can't even imagine how can they reverse payments from 2012, it's nonsense, how's that not their fault too? they have infinite money, build a better system to filter fraud with a proper accuracy or else they should take part in the loss, if not all, especially in cases like this, where they need 3 fucking years to come to the conclusion that it was fraud, if it was at all

this is from their FAQ btw:
"Why do some chargebacks occur so long after a seller receives the payment?

Certain laws and credit card issuer policies usually allow buyers to file chargebacks weeks or sometimes months after the initial transaction occurs. If a buyer waits to file a chargeback, a seller may encounter a temporary hold on funds in their PayPal account for a transaction that occurred weeks or months or even years ago."

it is without the part written in red obviously, i added it, but i guess they can add it now too lol

PayPal has limited my account 3 times even after getting all info they requested. I found this site while seeking to get a solution.

They're really becoming too much. I wonder what the next best thing will be..
