Anyone Else Find Reddit Confusing?

I just joined and its a bit confusing to me. I think I had an account like a year ago and I don't remember it being this confusing.

When I look at the rules it says

No personal opinions, anecdotes or subjective statements (e.g "TIL xyz is a great movie").

No news or recent sources. News and any sources (blog, article, press release, video, etc.) more recent than two months are not allowed.

Nothing related to recent politics.

But thats all I see on there. Personal opinions, links to recent stories, trivial posts, etc.
I'm just making an observation. I'll be able to use it just like any other site. I just don't get why this site is so popular. Meh.

This site is popular because it has FREE Traffic JUICE!!!

And of course TARGETED TRAFFIC

If you are worried about your 1 year old account. Don't use it, create a new one and play the way you want, get naughty!

Before you start on reddit, understand that you will NEVER win the crowd! Reddit users are brutal mate ha ha! I've seen people post some great things... 10 seconds later = 150 votes down!

The only thing that it is good for is traffic and social bookmarking.

I think your confused by the different sub-reddits. Each one is its own category with its own community and rules. It is confusing though, the best thing to do is probably to just explore for a bit and see if you can find a community that fits you best. This is especially important if your looking to market in there, because they are extremely cautious and you will have to get their defenses down and learn what they like before you even have a chance of getting an offer through.

Reddit is actually brilliantly laid out. Tons of 'sub-reddits' to choose from gives you targeted traffic choice. You can basically target audiences with the same location, likes, and emotions.

Reddit takes a while in getting used. The community is very particular about not letting junk get through. If you need upvotes from aged accounts.PM me.
