Anyone else experienced this FollowLiker problem?

I've submitted a support request with FL, but in the mean time I thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I used to use Instagress for my botting before recently moving to FL. When using Instagress I'd get a comfortable 100-150 followers per day on each account, with some very conservative settings.

I have since moved to FL with 13 of my accounts. 8 of them work fine and are achieving the 100+ followers I'd expect.

However, five of them, and weirdly, my 'main' five that I've worked on for a while, are doing TERRIBLY. I achieved no gain, or even a LOSS of followers in 24hours two days ago, despite the software claiming that it had carried out 450+ follows and 450+ likes. In the most recent 24 hours, I've gained only about 10-30 followers on each account.

My settings are exactly the same as when I was using Instagress, in fact, I was only following about 300 people per day on there, so following 450+ on FL should give me even more followers. The tags I'm following are also exactly the same. My settings are also exactly the same as the ones I'm using for my other 8 accounts which are doing fine (but different hashtags obviously)

It's clear to me that despite the software claiming that it's done all the actions, it just hasn't. It can't have. Otherwise my follows and likes coming back would be much higher.

I also find it strange that it's happening on my five main accounts only, and all these little accounts I created within the last week and have put no real thought into are whizzing away fine at 100-150 followers per day.

Anyone got any ideas?

I have to admitt Instagress so far has been way more efficient then any other platform I ve used.
I will look at what you said. So far If i go to my wizzards settings>liked photos manager>Then I pick the last URL liked I can testify I did like the pic.

Hey, just had a look. Unfortunately everything is blank in the logs (probably because all the automations ran quite a few hours ago), but I'll definitely have a look next time.

If only Instagress was cheaper, and we had a bit more control over the settings, I'd definitely have liked to continue using Instagress. Right now for these five accounts, using FollowLiker is setting me back 100s of followers per day, so maybe I should switch back anyway :S

To OP: Yes, it's not as efficient as before. I run all 4 of the programs.
The scraped data shown in the custom settings may or may not appear at times :banghead:. If it's blank, I would think it's not scraping properly.
I've been contacting support all the time trying to solve problems, from 1 program to the other.

Twitter: Not efficient at all lately. Alot of new error messages from Twitter for some reasons.
Pinterest/Instagram/Tumblr: Seems to be running ok for now but at general settings, they should be liking/following etc more.
I'm quite disappointed with the Tumblr one as I was running another Tumblr bot software before and it was way more efficient consistent.

Many of us share similar experience with the software now and I hope Weblues will participate here to clarify on the issues when needed.

well, it's not a good idea to change the clients which accessing your accs too frequently, it's best if you don't change it at all
maybe there's some kind of ghosting ig is putting on your old accs, but not on the newer ones
if you don't trust the statistics of the bot or just wanna see it w/ your own eyes, you can always check the follower, following count manually on ig too, to see if there's something up, don't log into them though, just use the profile url

when you say the bot is working w/ your newer accs as it supposed to be, but not w/ the old ones, it looks like a pattern to me, so it will be most likely an account related issue and not the bot, if it were a bot issue, it would happen to all the accs

Hmm, I think you might be right, it makes a lot more sense that it's an Instagram issue itself seeing as all these other accounts are working fine.

So what can I possibly do to fix this?

that's the good question, i have no clue unfortunately
that's what needs to be sorted out w/ the support if they aware of anything like this
not sure how old are those accs, how many followers you have on them or how much work you put into them, but you can always use new accs which it seems aren't affected and build those from scratch

I just got the most unhelpful reply from FollowLiker support - it's as if they didn't even read my message.

In a nutshell they refuse to acknowledge the possibility that the software isn't performing the tasks, and that there's 'nothing else the software can do to make people follow those accounts back' - as if the content of my accounts are the problem?! The content was doing absolutely fine for 100-150 followbacks per day when I was doing things manually and when I was using Instagress...

I really did think support would at least read my message properly and try and investigate what might have happened instead of giving me some kind of canned response :S

I'm a bit lost as to what to do now. A lot of time and effort has gone into these accounts and I really don't want to abandon them.

Ok so I did a little test to check what was going on.

I re-started the bot and watched the usernames that FollowLiker was saying that it was following, and used my phone to check that the account was actually following that user.

FollowLiker says that it has successfully followed all these users, but in actuality, none of them had been followed.

Having said this, I couldn't manually follow anyone off my phone either. There must be a temp ban on following which has coincidentally (or not?) hit my main 5 accounts at once, and this temp ban has lasted quite some time (possibly because FL has continued to attempt to follow people despite the ban being in place?)

I'm going to leave it for a day or two, and then when I start following etc. again, I'll increase the delays to double the default values, and halve the number of follows. That should help me ease these accounts back in. I'm just so confused as to why these brand new accounts I've created are using the exact same settings and working absolutely fine? Maybe it's to do with the way Instagress used to spread tasks out continually over a 24 hour period, but since switching to FollowLiker the tasks have been executed at a much faster rate within a shorter time frame?

Has anyone got any experience with temp banning due to follows? I've been temp banned loads of times for comments, but they don't usually last very long. I can still like pictures and leave comments too (both manually, not sure if they work through FL).

That happens because follow liker might not check all the json response , report the bug , some times instagram reply following true but in fact it didnt followed because the account have hit the "hour" rate limit

Maybe FL tockens limit reached for all 5 accs ? I think you can check the program access from instagram web site in "applications access" settings tab (or smthing like this): it say's "FLC app" at list of app that use your acc for liking following commenting and ect (ur's the same??) ... So isnt it a FLAG for insta to find us ?

If the software says it follows, it actually means that a success message was received and that instagram actually acknowledges the follows. You can pause the 5 accounts for some time and then try them again.

Thank you for the response. As explained in this thread (in various places) I have contacted you through support on the website but posted here purely to see if anyone else had any ideas as to what was going on.

I'm going to pause the accounts and try again in a couple days as suggested. Will let you know how I get on

It's also possible that the accounts are overdoing tasks within a short period of time. You can spread the tasks over 24 hours period with the automation interval and by reducing the task limits.

You can't do much with web based scripts.

There is also reverse unfollows (This is rare). If you follow a private user and they are yet to approve your follow request unfollowing them will not count. Also if a reverse follow as occurred before that will cause some unfollows not be counted. Solution is clearing out the following list.

Reverse follow happens on some account but some accounts don't experience such. That's why I mentioned above that if a task is over done like following a lot of users within a short period of time, it might cause follows to not be counted (reverse follows).

Even if you get a status = ok while following , please check the rest of the json response with "following" that should be true, if false means it didnt follow.
It can happen also by following private users, where the request is sent and you have "followed" but the user did not accepted yet. Might cause some confusion but i guess that clears the problem

I can tell you exactly what's happening. You are getting the reverse follow. Which means whenever you click follow, IG will automatically unfollow a second later and this is why followliker counts it as a successful follow in the stats. You can test this out by trying to follow manually using your phone or bluestacks and you will see it happening.

The reverse follow is caused from unfollowing too much and won't go away until 24 hours after stopping your unfollowing. It seems to only happen on some accounts and when it does start happening, it will continue to happen on that account forever as long as you keep unfollowing. This means that you can't run following and unfollowing on the same days. You have to follow as many people as you can until 7000-7500 or so. Then stop following and unfollow only for many days. Then stop and repeat after the 24 hour follow ban is lifted.

Also, the reverse follow only happens when you try following on followliker, your phone, bluestacks, or any other emulator and does not happen on web based sites like instagram.com, iconosquare, etc when following. So even if you have the reverse follow happening right now, go ahead and try following on the web and it will work. Followliker can easily fix this problem if they implemented a web based following script instead of what they use now.

I'm actually surprised more people don't acknowledge the reverse follow as well as FL support.

Wow, I had no idea this was a thing. It makes a lot of sense though because I was following and unfollowing simultaneously at the FL default rate (460-500 per day) for these accounts, which is far above what I was doing before.

Just checked the progress of a test I was carrying out, and you are 100% right. The accounts which are only following (but not unfollowing) are growing at the expected rate, but the accounts trying to follow and unfollow at the same time have gained next to nothing in the same time frame!

So let me just check I understood you: I now have to only run one action at a time: either following, or unfollowing. I can never run both at the same time for these accounts? Or will this sort itself out if I leave the accounts to rest for 24-48 hours? I only ask because it's going to be a pain having to keep checking whether the follows have reach 7500 for me to switch them to unfollowing...

In my experience, unfollowing is a VERY sensitive thing that instagram looks at.

I've had 3 accounts banned because I've unfollowed TOO much. As much as 100-200 a day. It varies per account but those were my limits. If I unfollowed 3 consective days, my chances of getting banned is very high.

Now I just comment and like. It's a slow way to gain followers BUT in my experience, it's better safe than sorry when it comes to IG.

Again, I had no idea that unfollowing was seen this way by Instagram. Glad I've found out now at least. So how many comments/likes do you do, and roughly how many follows do you gain per day? I've just had so much success with following for followbacks that it's a shame I might have to leave it behind...

Ive notice that with instagress I will literately be liking and doing all task for 24/7 but when I switched to FL it stops after my daily limit even having my FL Bot running 24hrs. When i had instagress it never stopped. I feel like now I'm not interacting 24/7 like i did before.
