Well, I'm absolutely disappointed that you need to pay $67 for the web 2.0 upgrade.

I thought we were promised free updates for life when you paid the one-time fee purchase.
When I launch it and saw the update, I was initially excited and thought that AMR is finally making a comeback.
But when I saw the price tag, I realize the developer/maker of AMR has just gone money-blind....

I mean, just look at Bookmarking Demon 6. The upgrade was FREE and everything was revamped and even more powerful.
AMR 2.0 just adds a few updates (for free update) and now is asking their own users to pay $67 for the further upgrade.

$67 may not seem a lot for some. But money isn't the issue here.
Just look like GSA Search Engine Ranker... the developer added a whole chunk of update and it's still free update and at the same price as before.

Seriously, I am utterly disappointed with the developer (Sniper).

The new updates should be free for the previous customer. :)

Yes, All updates should be free. Other guys don't ask a payment like Senuke, GSA SER etc

You and the developer entered into an agreement of free updates for life and now he is asking for money? Take him to court!

Im also disappointed with the price. It should be free. GSA SER does a lot more for almost the same price. It would be better to just make the update free.

$67? The original AMR wasn't worth its price to me and now he wants more? I would recommend everyone to stop wasting their money.

Exactly.

I was shock that some people are still keen to buy. I would never.
Also, there was a member that said something so true... AMR wasn't updated for a long time and the developer kept promising that updates are near... he was simply bumping the thread.

But seriously, with just the free updates... it's just like 5% improvement in the software.

Still on the fence about buying the update but it feels wrong to pay for something that's supposed to be free for life of the software. If he wanted to make some extra money he should've made those scripts a standalone app instead of lying to the amr owners about free updates and making it obvious he just cares $$$.

Yeah tell me about it. I can't believe Sniper became like this :(

well i'm not advocating AMR here but i believe he is asking some extras for their new Wiki addon if anyone wants to use them, not for the AMR itself. they have updated AMR with new version and offering another addon to include within the AMR for wiki posting

ohhhh, bunch of broke kids whining, how cute;

every developer has the right to charge for add-ons as much as they want - if you feel cheated in any way, by all means, go ahead and sue them

oh, and following the OP logic - I have Bookmarking Demon license, do you think I will get Ultimate Demon for free? Didn't think so...

Am always one of the first people to support AMR, but amr this days as gone to shit, I only use AMR for just one purpose and not the purpose intended for.

I haven't even upgraded mine to 2.0, but I believe sniper owes it to previous customer who stood by its software and not got an updates for month and month to have new addon for free.

Sniper am one of your long supported fan of AMR, and knowing we havent had updates for a long time, this updates should be free for previous users.

LoL, apparently you never bought AMR or own a AMR license at all.

And your last statement is flawed.
The features or paid update is INTEGRATED in AMR. It is NOT a separated software.
Ultimate Demon is another software that has Article, Bookmarking, Wiki, and other modules INTEGRATED.
For other words, Ultimate demon is like a human body and BMD is just one arm of the body.

And no, it isn't about charging add-ons. The thing is the developer promised "lifetime updates" when you purchase his software.
And we definitely won't sue them as this is just time consuming and for just $67, its' totally not worth it as everyone of us can earn that easily. But what matters here is he broke his promise.

Also, if Sniper really needs money that bad... he could at least sell the update at a low price for his existing customers.

But don't get me wrong... from the developer's perspective, perhaps he just wants to earn from his hardwork.
If he really does, he should just make it as a software than to integrate it into AMR. This just confuses a lot of us because of your initial "free lifetime updates".
Or at least, like I've said above, sell it at a lower price than telling existing customers to pay the difference.

No, I'm not making Sniper the bad guy or blasting his software. It is the best article blasting software out there, yes.

P.S: Your first statement is totally uncalled for. Watch your ego, buddy :(. I don't know if you just had a bad day or something that made you post that... but it's seriously uncalled for.

Every time I post the truth about AMR Sniper runs along and starts flaming me how there are thousands of satisfied users and there are never any problems. Those of us with AMR licences and have had it for a while know that this is BS. In fact what irritated me the most was his constant promises of new features and updates for about a year ... then now he wants another $67 for more features.

Honestly I think most people have moved on from this POS even though it maybe working right now - but I'm sure in a few months time it will be back to where it was before. Anyway I always write in AMR threads so people can see both sides and not be blinded by paid or rewarded reviews that sucker people blindly into buying things without full disclosure beforehand.

(I mean too - why couldn't he open a new BST thread instead of having people post "great" reviews of the new features and just use those as his sales threads)

yes really disappointed with both AMR and senuke hate them.......

I do not have AMR, but I have experience of buying many softwares that eventually do not satisfy what I need. If it's not good enough, just move on, take the refund if you can and find a better way to do the things around.

lol! the owner of AMR wants more of my money!? if he had updated amr at all like he said and kinda kept it working id consider it.

The fact is amr turned into a worthless p.o.s and im annoyed i even gave him the first 67$ let alone give him more.

Worst soft developer. ever.

I haven't used AMR for a couple of days so haven't seen this yet but I agree with the op in principle. I have actually been a little annoyed with AMR anyway recently as it keeps crashing when i run reports.

It is a nice piece of software as it is so quick and easy but things like this are annoying. If you buy a lifetime license with free updates, you don't expect to pay and extra $67. I can't remember what i bought AMR for but it wasn't much more...
