That’s brutal — 5 years is insane. I’ve heard stories about long holds, but that’s on another level. It’s crazy how PayPal can just sit on funds with no clear explanation, even when you’re playing by the rules. You're very right about this.
I'm a victim of PayPal's unnecessary shutdown and even after 5 years, they still haven't released my fund. Every time I call to ask for my money, none of the support team have a clue why they hold my money or why the account was terminated in the first place because none of their terms was violated.
I have used Stripes and Square to process my payments ever since and I have not encountered any problem as was with PayPal that I'll need to change account every few weeks.
Personally, I don't think anyone who cares about his earnings should use PayPal to process their payment
Glad to hear Stripe and Square have been smoother for you. I’ve noticed they’re generally more consistent, though they do sometimes flag accounts in certain niches or if volume spikes too fast.
I agree with you though — putting all your earnings through PayPal feels like asking for trouble. Out of curiosity, for those here who’ve had to leave PayPal behind, what did you move to next? Stripe/Square, crypto, or something else?
