After the daily routine is done, I need an energy boost to work online for a few hours now. This is when the magic happens and there are no distractions!

Do you work past midnight on IM?
Either way, do you have a midnight routine?

I used to. These days I am going to bed on time. I must admit it has made a huge difference to my energy level.

I do sometimes drink coffee at absurd hours, like an hour before going to bed, but that doesn't do anything different. Probably because I am used to caffeine and it doesn't affect me that much anymore.

Either way, do you have a midnight routine?
Snoring, these days. :D :D

I don't drink coffee at all... but yeah, I work at midnight almost all the time : D

If I must, I just usually open up a snack and that keeps me active for much longer

Everyone saying Coffee brings energy and keep you awake. But in my case it doesn't do anything. In fact some days I used to drink coffee or tea before going to sleep. If I don't want to sleep I don't eat or drink anything. I just play any music and starts working nothing worked better than this (for me of course).

I’ve done this too Midnight is actually when I get some of my most focused work done. Less noise, fewer distractions, and just coffee + getting things done.

I work at midnight every day, but I don’t drink coffee at night. Basically, I’m a night owl, but I need coffee to stay awake during the day.

Try a double espresso at 2 AM surrounded by a phone farm simultaneously refreshing social feeds in the dark.

It's less of a "highly productive midnight routine" and more of a spiritual battle against my own automation setup.
