I hate Twitter, and never use it.
But it seems like twitter and other social networks will be worked into SEO (if not already), as for the most part it's real people talking about trending topics/sites.

Has anyone experimented with link building from twitter accounts?
One of my niches is an adult niche so it's not really publically talked about on social networks, so all link building would have to be created.

Experiences?

Social proof is a good idea, and this would include twitter. I have not tested it extensively but the sites I do launch with social networks seem to do better. It may be the future of SEO, and if you can get it automated, it seems like a good idea.

This was the reason why Google paid Twitter to use their data.

Now, as the contract has ended, they implement the things learned into Google+

What they then propably also look at, is the likes amount on fanpage's, as this is easily scrapeable.

I mainly just use Twitter for getting stuff indexed these days. It works great, even though G isn't using Twitter for real time search any more. Stuff you tweet gets indexed fast. IMHO stuff that gets a lot of social links early on is more resilient to a higher link velocity later on ie. it makes your stuff more resilient to high volume spammy links.

Surprised there aren't some twitter services.
I wonder if I should set up a FB fanpage.

You can try to twist your site on my 150.000 followers, PM me if you need the services. Regards

twitter was great when the links where do follow.. but now not so hot! Good old Matt Cutts strikes again
