Anyone can suggest me a book?

    hey guys
    i know there are many expert programers
    i am a young enthusiast who wishes to pursue his future and career in programing
    at current i am not so expert at any language but i do know php java on basic levels i want to learn at advance level
    so any of you expert can be kind enough to recommend me some great book to do so
    i dont mean ebook specifically any hard book will work too
    i need some good book for java or visual basics..

    anyone guysss/... i have never reffered a book before to learn anything such but now i really wish to pursue from one book...

    not exactly new but not exactly good either
    have done fine java using netbeans but i wish to learn core java as well as in more depths
    i googled abt headfirst java and it says that book is for like person going to do programing itself for first time

    i read couple books
    headfirst java is goood book
    so now anyone up for help me with any android development book ?:)

    Python is a good starting point, and the 'Violent Python' book details loads of blackhat-type stuff you can do with it.

    i am really sorry for that
    i have been learning and training myself and have been busy with my college so forgot to thank before
    and now i am free for another 30 days and thought about some next learning
    and i remembered i had this thread so instead of starting the new one i thought its best i continue with old one

    I think the official training pages are nice. Also, check out commonsware (search on google). :)

    Don't waste your money on tutorials. Use it to buy coffee, to help you study longer.
    Google up some tutorials, browse YouTube - you can find most of the stuff there for free.
