Anyone buying Google +1 Services?

I really think people are jumping on the +1 without thoroughly looking into it. Do any of you think that G doesn't think webmasters will try and exploit it? Of course they do. All your ill gotten +1 will be worthless in a short time frame.

Maybe G is just baiting?

I don't think they expect it to be a big problem. If a site get's a few 100 or even 1k +1's i don't think google will care because real sites will end up with about 50.000+ i suppose. :)

haha.. what if they deindex every site that has a +1 ?

i seriously don't understand why people are flipping about this either. google isn't dumb enough to actually make it so you can +1 your site up the SERP's

I liked what dmhers1234's said.. that sounds a little bit more relevant to me.

I just asked a guy offering the +1 service about what all it really does and how much weight it carries in SERP's. I guess I didn't ask as nicely as I could.. but still. he flipped and PM'd me twice.. added me to skype to yell at me.. and then blocked me. all because I asked how it really effects the SERP's. I'm guessing he didn't know since he couldn't give me any real information. he just said he was gonna get me. whatever that means.. and said I know nothing at all because I just joined this forum. like this is the only forum that ever existed to be in the IM game.

To all the negative thinkers mind reading this official google blog post?

http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2011/03/introducing-1-button.html

especially these snippets:-

Over the coming weeks, we?ll add +1 buttons to search results and ads on Google.com. We?ll also start to look at +1?s as one of the many signals we use to determine a page?s relevance and ranking, including social signals from other services. For +1's, as with any new ranking signal, we'll be starting carefully and learning how those signals affect search quality over time. At first the +1 button will appear for English searches only on Google.com, but we?re working to add more languages in the future.

To all the guys thinking and just claiming it won't gonna affect might actually try it practically then post results rather than trolling and posting posts on mere assumptions. I would rather appreciate the posts who actually tried and posted the results here.

Hey, why don't we all join up and post our domains and we could all participate on +1'ing each others domains. Then we could all get hundreds of +1's and participate too. :)

+1 if you like the idea lol

My page moved up from 4th result to 3rd result for a highly competitive keyword, after receiving 100 odd plus 1s. Don't know if it is because of the plus 1s or because of other seo activity.

why can't you guys accept the changes and work with them i mean google can't be more clearly than this they simply saying, leave the SEO for us we will rank you higher if you deliver good content for your users, let your users decide if your good or not which honestly makes ton of sense.

So if you take all this info and simply focus on your content to make it as much unique as possible and keep it on the workflow meaning update you content atleast weekly and keep it with high quality, google gonna almost ditch all the 400+ words article and they gonna focus on bigger posts like 700+ words you can understand from this they looking to give the users more information and the goal i think is to keep google more informative which was their goal in first place i believe other than more marketing. they simply gonna give smaller stage to internet marketers.

What about good websites that don't have a plus 1 option in their site? Even google is not clear about how they are going to use the plus one. We all should wait and see. However, until google is as powerful as it is today, we got to adapt to what they offer. I wish plus 1 is not going the google buzz way.

If nothing else think 'social proof' - nothing attracts a crowd like an already assembled crowd (...or in this case a few dozen +1's)

I know this might seem like a retarded questions, but i didn't get an invite to G.Plus... what can you buy?

I'm not being negative about +1 either.. I'm just saying there has to be more to it then just getting a bunch of +1's

such as all the accounts that are linked up with your google account will matter.

how big your network of friends/contacts are.. and how you've used the web in the past. if you've bought certain things through google checkout and you +1 a website on that same product it would have more weight then an account that was made a week ago with nothing on it at all that +1's it. that just makes more sense to me.. and that's all i'm saying.

Let me know if you guys find a service that dip feeds +1's. Any of these services giving 30 of them to you all in the same day will be worthless.

Don't get too excited about Google +1. You need to be logged into a Google account to +1 a link you like. If you create a new account (with proxy or however) and the account wasn't used for anything else then Google will not assign any value to your +1 clicks. However, if you have been using Google services for a wide variety of normal-use activities and have a tendency to be proactive in a particular niche (e.g. cars) and then you Google +1 a car related website, that would be considered a useful indication for Google to consider your +1.

So in short: you can hire Fiverr services, create a zillion Google accounts, etc. and then +1 all your websites, but it won't impact SEO unless the Google account holder has a history that Google can analyze before determining whether the +1 selections should carry any weight.

If anyone can prove this wrong, I'm all ears!

that doesnt make much sense as peoples ideas of what is good can change, also new hobbies. And how teh fcck does Google know what I like if I don't use anything apart from gmail?

Interesting idea to see how much of a difference it will actually make.. I know that having a lot of likes helped your ranking a bit, but +1s should help you even more then since its a Google owned anyway..

If everyone participates, there won't be a need to buy services anymore...
I've just finished my +1 exchange site at
http://plused.net
so if you all join in, we can eliminate the need to pay for +1s..

thanks and rep given.

great idea with the +1 exchange! Altough the +1 thing doesn't seem to be working in any way yet. Maybe Google is just testing it on the web for now.
