Hi guys, I just wanted to open a quick rant thread. I already searched around the forum and saw the GScraper owner is on the shit list for not updating their software and not providing support, although I see some threads from 2016 saying some people still use it.

I see one post from someone in a similar situation to me, they bought it and didn't receive their license for 5 days. I've been waiting nearly 3 days and not heard anything after paying either. Its pretty bad the owner does not look out for even new sales, I can't understand any serious marketer who does not notice they have just been paid into their Paypal account

The software seems to work OK in trial mode on my VPS, I don't need it for SEO...only for scraping URLs for another purpose...I used private proxies on it...

And people wonder why there are so many nulled softwares available for free. Seems that the only way to get half the software out nowadays to work is to reverse engineer and crack it!
I only have respect for marketers/sellers who have respect for their customers, mind you...

Yeah I know, you do the right thing and pay and suffer for it. However, I already have scrapebox and their support always replies...I didn't see some of the bad threads before I paid, I wouldn't care if the support was bad as long as I got the initial license! but now I don't know where I am

Why did you buy it? Scrapebox V2 can dance circles around Gscraper as far as speed goes and I think Scrapebox does every single feature Gscraper does and a hundred times more. Just curious?

I have to disagree with you on features between GScraper and Scrapebox. After scraping with scrapebox, and deduping with Scrapebox, I then dedupe with GScraper. I generally remove another 15 to 20 duplicates that Scrapebox missed. I also use Gscraper to remove root urls. Yes Scrapebox can remove root urls in a multi-step process, but Gscraper does it in a single step. Gscraper also has a better filter setup. You can enter a word in a URL, or partial word, and filter out every url that contains that word or partial word. Another area that I like with Gscraper is that it writes a smaller file when you save a list back to itself; often only half the size of what Scrapebox writes.

As far as speed, Scrapebox runs circles around GScraper. The reason is that GScraper sends every proxy, and every search to China after encryption. That search then has to be approved by a server in China and the approval sent back to the user. This means that half of the bandwidth is spent on information sent to China. This means, at the least, that your proxies are not really yours because they are shared with China, or if you wish, GScraper. Another problem with Gscraper is that all Google searches are conducted through Google.com.hk. At the very least, there is the lag time crossing oceans three times.

However, with the exception of a few areas, Scrapebox is a much better program.

ScrapeBox can do this also, under "Remove / Filter" there's the options of remove urls containing, remove urls containing entries from, remove urls not containing and remove urls not containing entries from where you can filter a list against a keyword or list of keywords.

You are likely exporting the files as unicode, if this is a problem and you want them the smaller go to Options > Default Export File Format and change it to ANSI or UTF-8.

This is something ScrapeBox doesnt do is send users proxies, urls and data to our servers for resale. That's one "feature" ScrapeBox will never have. :)
