Anyone being limited in friend request from contact lists?

I sent out about 500 friend invites to my FB from a contact list and when I checked later I found I only had 30 invites actually go out!

My contact list was a text file uploaded to FB and formatted like this:

exampleemailadd2

Is this some new limit that FB has imposed or am I doing something wrong?

it's been that way for awhile
facebook cracking down on requesting friends big time

maybe you should have added that list to a gmail account or something and imported that way.
i personally haven't had any problems lately, but i like to take things slow when it comes to facebook,

ya i can vouch for this method of adding friends DOES NOT WORK. even from adding them from 3rd party email accounts like hotmail/yahoo/gmail. the mass contact uploading doesnt work as nearly good as it has a year ago.

Evidently FB won't let you import from gmail anymore. It isn't listed as an option on my friends page.

I tried other emails to import from my gmail but they each have problems that make them almost impossible to use: yahoo crashes when importing large contact lists, aol takes 24 hours or more to import lists, hotmail will only allow you to delete 25 contacts at a time when reloading your imports which is VERY tedious and time-consuming.

If anyone has a solution I'd be very grateful.

I am new to ALL of this including FB so I'm unsure what part of this is solvable and which is just how FB does things these days.

I tried just uploading the same contact file multiple times to grab some adds each time.

Results:

1st pass) Added 30 friend requests
2nd pass) Added 60 friend requests
3rd pass) Added 70 friend requests
4th pass) FB gave me following msg:

You have exceeded the limit of uploading contact files! You are temporarily blocked from uploading contact files. This block will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days.

And I love how they LIE to you and tell you "Success!" You have added X number of friend requests when the truth is they only sent a fraction of those.

I have done the same thing as you for one of my Fan Page and I ended up getting banned. As soon as I get some time. I will start testing FB to find out how many ignores does it take to get banned.

I guess what I should do now since contacts is pretty much dead is do a fanpage and get people to request ME.
