The stories of Hydra's demise are greatly exaggerated
They are still in business (however recently bought out) and I'm making pretty good $$$ with them every day. They pay on time and they have a ton of offers - plus always adding more.
One of my favorite networks.
That said, they fired a ton of staff and over 50% of their non-performing affiliates not too long ago. Their stated rationale was that they wanted to work more with higher performing affiliates to drive more profitable business.
As such, I assume it may be very difficult to get in now if you don't have a good, proven track record you can refer to.
FYI... I was running an email submit with them a few months ago and it was driving real good margins for me & all was good. Then one day I get a call from my AM that the offer vendor lost their distributorship and wasn't going to pay Hydra the outstanding commissions due.
Hydra also mentioned in passing that affiliate commissions might be at risk as a result - yikes - but within a few days they promised to cover all commissions despite their not getting paid.
I got my cash and they got a committed affiliate in me from then on.
You expect this from your affiliate networks, but it's always refreshing to see.
Good luck,
Peter
