Hi, i'm looking for anybody who worked in any cpa network and need to confirm or deny some urban myths about cpa networks.

Does networks shave leads? It's interesting to see that from one niche for 1 hour i can earn like 10-20$ from 8-14 different offers and after that 9-14 hours pass with no leads..

Does offers get capped and users don't know about it? For example there this top performing offer for few days and one night i got 100 clicks to it and not a single lead.. In the morning this offer is at networks bottom with other dead offers.. How could anybody explain how this is happening? Sometimes after few days again it's the top performing offer.. Is it again shaving or what?

Some of them do. How to detect? Compare their offers with similar ones of another network. If their rates are much bigger, that's a tip for you. Setting up, say, $25 instead of $15 they are probably going to shave some part of you conversions. I don't mean reasonable differences, like 17$ vs $15

If the offer is capped, you usually know if from its description or from notifications field. There may be different reasons for your offer to suddenly stop performing and mostly often the reason is traffic. My advice here is staying in contact with your account manager. Thus you get all the necessary information asap

I asked my manager and it said conversion is normal but for two years i had like 0.20 epc for some countries and traffic is the same. Now it's 0.10 epc for few weeks and they are saying it's normal.. I even get more traffic but earn less like my earnings are cut in half.. I think or they offers started not converting or they are shaving my leads..

Hey :) Here goes the answer of another network.

Yes, but some of them. There are many trustworthy networks, that you can get to know by reading forums and talking with other affiliates, or by checking similar offers from different networks, as Daria suggested.

Also, regarding an example you've mentioned - it really depends, if such thing happens it's not necessarily a problem with the network, might be different performance during that particular hour, same audience seeing your ad, cap, etc...

Yes, it can happen that a network does not make affiliates aware about the capping. Although, you already know about it, and need to check it with your AM.
Regarding your question - why do advertisers cap your offers? You can check the article we posted today

Networks do shave leads and profit, and not only CPA networks
