anybody using clickbank links with sniply

hey guys, new to this stuff so excuse my ignorance. Im trying to put my hoplinks in sniply but it wont take it. So will using a short url get me around this before I pay for a domain? another total noob quaestion, the hoplink is the one that needs to be used, right, so wtf is the firsl link they provide for?
