BuyAds.com looks like an awesome way to purchase short-term banner/text ads but I've never talked to anybody who uses them? Anybody?

I'm looking to give away a free product as a hook for my new line of products but I'm having trouble finding the best way to give my product away effectively with paid ads without flushing my money down the toilet. Any and all input on this thread is much appreciated.

You can use BuyAds .Because BuyAds orders are transparent and you're working directly with the publishers you choose. They don't charge you until the publisher approves your order. When they do it's a binding, guaranteed order (in industry lingo, a guaranteed Insertion Order). That's when they charge your credit card, PayPal, or send you an invoice — and unless a publisher gives the OK, the money for a campaign is needed before it can start.
 
split a small budget between different ad types/ad networks, different people have different opinions about what may work, but at the end only testing will show.
 
buysellads.com is a well known network. Any network that sells ads can work. find a site that gives you that ROI, then move on to the next. Testing can be expensive but is required.
 
Yes they are very good and there you cand find banners at low prices
 
yeah I use them. Sometimes their "minimum" is kinda high (like sometimes want you to buy 500$ worth of traffic without ever using them).
 
never really likes advertising in buyads the prices are always too high.

Yes, the price is high, but it is very targetted. For example, you sells your wordpress plugin on the right plugin blogs, you will have higher conversion than other ads network like PPC, etc.

I have good conversion with buysellads before this.

and what are you using now, buyads or buysellads? what is better for you and please few words about what exactly you're selling
 
the resulted price per click is so damn high, is much better with Adwords
 
I would prefer sitescout because you can test more sites, then do a direct buy. I'd hate to spend $300 on a site with crap traffic.
 
I've also run a small campaign on buy ads,

one thing that I really did not like was that the publisher didn't put my ad up for 3 weeks even though everything was confirmed and approved, I think thats a big downside to buy ads
